I heard on the radio that the Coyotes are also going to be playing UCLA as well but judging from no news about it on here they may have been mistaken.

I wonder how hard it would be to get tickets for this game? Any idea goyotes24? Non-conference games against 'cupcake' teams (to them) aren't as big of a draw, so getting tickets for this game won't be near as difficult as if it were an ACC matchup. Non-conference home games close to finals aren't nearly as expensive on the secondary market (i.e. StubHub or PrairieTickets.com) as they are for conference games, either. But still keep in mind that the game will sell out nonetheless, so your best bet is to look on the secondary market. I am somewhat lucky, though, since two of my best friends are ticket brokers. One of them will be joining the Iron Dukes since I am going to be a North Carolina resident and he will have an NC address to use. So as soon as I hear or learn anything on that end, I'll let you guys know. I remember that the game against Wake Forest at Cameron was 330 per ticket (for the cheap seats) on the secondary market, I can't imagine this game to be near as much.

Do we get Duke and UCLA without a Summit title? Had to have helped.

Wow! $330 for a ticket. I guess they do take their hoops seriously in North Carolina. UCLA might be an easier get. Pauley is a lot larger than Cameron I think.

I am thrilled with the Duke and UCLA games because they go outside the comfort zone. They are not midwest games and not winnable games either barring a fairly significant miracle. If for whatever reason Mooney goes 15 for 22 from three and the Yotes do pull one of those out it looks pretty nice on the resume. Even with two losses it bumps up that RPI.
Duke is easy for so many to hate and I used to consider them probably my least favorite team in college basketball. It is hard to dislike coach K though. I don't really hate them anymore but don't love them either. I was so happy 2 years ago when they took down Wisconsin since the Badgers took down many of the teams I like (IE Kentucky) and I didn't want to see them win a title. My dislike has kind of shifted to North Carolina. Roy Williams is always talked about as some saint but they had some pretty serious scandals there and I have a hard time thinking he knew nothing of it.
Hopefully the Yotes get into another one of those classics like when they were in the Gulf Coast Showcase last year. It's fun to get together against teams ya don't typically play.

Playing Duke & UCLA as to be a ton of fun for the players and coaches. It is also the 'big idea' people thought of when the move to D1 was being considered. (Not to mention it is helpful when recruiting vs. something like a home/home with Cal Irvine - which is why the scheduling conversation on the FB thread is nonsense.) Nice work Herbster/Williams/Smith!

For the most part, I've been one of those people as well. But from everything I've heard from the Augie folks about the Vikings' trip to Durham this past season, it sounds like the folks at Duke--and Krzyzewski in particular--were pretty great on all fronts. If we hadn't gotten our teeth kicked in, it probably would've been a fantastic trip from start to finish.

I was at the home game the Yotes had against Marquette and legendary coach Al Maguire and remember it well. Marquette's tallest player was like 6'2" or 6'3" but man could they all jump! The Yote's center was Rod Foster who was 6'5" and could really jump too but M definitely out rebounded the Yotes. Was a fun game to watch in the "new" armory!

I DON'T THINK THE SKY IS FALLING OR ANYTHING BAD HAPPENED OR IS GOING ON. But, did anyone notice a conspicuous absence in that video? Summer job or something?
