thesummitleague.org/sports/mbkb/2017-18/releases/20170809otp507The average attendance for each session at the Men's tournament ranked 7th in the country this year trailing only the Power Five conferences and the Big East. The Summit had a higher average attendance than any of the other mid-major tournaments including the Missouri Valley. See the link above for more details. With that kind of success, you can bet there won't be any talk of moving the tournament among the decision makers.

There is no question that the tourney in Sioux Falls is doing very well but it's success is mainly good for just certan just certain schools. On the other hand has that also made schools like IUPUI not be too excited to stay in the league either. It certainly didn't help retain them in the league. I just have a hard time seeing a league champ such as IPFW have to play a first round tourney game as league champ in basically a road game situation such as against USD 2 years ago. That may really not seem like a big deal for those in South Dakota but there is just something about that, that really bugs me. Competitively it just isn't right.
