The Yotes will be welcomed into the Summit with their first league game on the road in Oakland.
It appears the 2011-12 Summit schedule has been revised as if memory serves me correctly the first U-State game was originally scheduled in Vermillion on 12/30/11. On the latest schedule the first U-State game will be a mens / womens doubleheader in Brookings on 1/14/12 (Saturday)(think that might be a sellout?) The return games in Vermillion are the men on 2/9/12(Thursday) & women on 2/13/12 (Monday). The Yotes still travel with the Roos and the Rabbits still travel with the Bison.

Yes, they did change the SDSU and I think NDSU games. Thank god! If they hadn't it was going to be a wild New Years in Vermtown. Originally games were 4 consecutive nights 12-28 to 12-31. One game each night.
Now students will be around for the February game. Great job AD for convincing the League to change that.

I would actually rather play in Brookings first and not have to play when the students are gone. I would rather the rematch be in Vermillion when maybe the rivalry had a chance to heat up a little first. I have always thought that way. Get the road game over with first and have the home game to fall back on if need be. I also like starting at Oakland. That is the toughest road trip so why not get it out of the way right off the bat. If it takes some adjustment to get used to the Summit I like having the most difficult game to try to win come right away.

I am lazy. The Summit League is going to mirror scheduling. What nights will the games be? Thursday/Saturday?

No idea, but as a person that puts it in the paper in Mitchell a good amount of the time, that's what I am hoping lol.
