Here's to Strev to GB!!! ...one way or the other. Ironically, I look at the Chang's from Streveler to Simmons like the change from Favre to Rodgers. Makes sense they go from Rodgers back to a gamer like Favre...albeit in 6 years or so. Streveler soo reminds me of Favre.

Strev not getting drafted: not surprising.
Strev not getting picked up as a free agent: surprising.
Strev not getting an invitation to any camps: baffling.
Strev playing football next fall when most of the "invites " have been cut: priceless.

Does anyone else think that getting snubbed by the NFL is just pure motivation for Chris? Here’s a Guy by all accounts is ultra competitive who has an intenses desire to win and succeed. And if you don’t think there was part of him who wanted to show his MN coaches what they missed out on I think you’re crazy. I think he’s going to take that same attitude and work ethic to Canada and make those 32 NFL GM’s look stupid. Looking forward to watching what you’re going to do north of the border. We’re all pulling for you.

You're right. It's interesting that Mick and the guys at KWSN made it sound like he didn't even get a sniff. Turns out he ended up turning down the NFL mini camps. Another thing I hadn't realized is that CFL games start in June! I guess that's not too surprising, given the climate in some of those cities. Outdoor December Football in Canada is a non-starter.

Nice find! I've never watched a CFL game, but it looks like they'd be wide open and fun. If Streveler ends up starting for Winnipeg I sure will be looking for them on the tube.

I didn't read the link, but have watched some games. CFL is quite different. Only 3 downs, backfield can move as much as they want before the snap, wider and longer field, punts can get you a point - or can be punted back by the returner, certain penalties can be reviewed, goalposts are in front of the endzone. I'm not going to say American football is superior but those 2-and-outs are frequent.

Looks like their website does an excellent job of covering the Bombers. Great interview with Chris!
