When these two teams play it tends to be a good game. I see WIU maybe keeping it a little closer. I will go 75-62 Coyotes but it wouldn't surprise me if it is closer than that.

Coyotes 35-22 at half as the Coyotes get a nice offensive board and an Armstrong three at the buzzer. I am watching the Jacks vs Bison and when it comes to basketball their is no way that the Bison care as much about the Jacks coming to town as the Coyotes do. There is probably less than 3K at the game in Fargo and many of their fans have not headed to Frisco yet. The Jacks play defense like a lazy NBA team. The Coyotes give much more effort on that end of the floor such as tonight against the Leathernecks. The Coyotes haven't even been very hot from the floor and are shooting very poorly from the stripe and are still leading by 13. The Coyotes can beat a team in so many ways. Just a joy to watch this team and how they can strive in an ugly type game when it comes to offense. The Coyotes are winning this one on effort. They have already had a few easy put backs by being in position to rebound. Lovin' it so far. This is a GATA performance.

62-50 Final in favor of South Dakota
Well Craig Smith said he wanted to develop a team that could play many different ways and they passed the test of having to grind out a defensive battle. The Coyotes made their free throws when it counted most. When Western cut it to 3 (I believe) the Yotes went on a 10-0 run all from the free throw line. I kind of enjoyed this game in a demented way. It tested the Coyotes in a way they haven't been tested much. They showed the patient to persevere. I have no problem with this performance today. Give the Necks some credit. I think the Coyotes started league play against two teams that are probably under rated according to the pre-season poll.

Agreed Coyote Fan, I rather enjoyed that game myself. When the shots aren't falling, your defense is what carries you! I had the sense that the Leathernecks knew that the lead, even at 3 or 4, was going to be too much to overcome.
Keep fighting Yotes!!

Have to be able to win on days when shots don't fall, and the Yotes did that tonight. I was surprised how short the bench was considering there wasn't much offensive flow - Fuller, Armstrong, and Peterson all under 20 minutes. No Jech even though Hags had a tough game (seemed bothered by the mask).

Very good D by both teams. Yotes missed a number of shots esp in 1st half they usually make (3s and layups) but D was consistent which won the game and ironically after a bad 1st half at the FT line won the game in the 2nd half with FTs with 88% so was good to see they recovered from really bad FT shooting the first half. Western's big altered or blocked a number of shots which makes it doubly tough when outside shots aren't falling, but as the saying goes a win is a win and sometimes you have to win ugly! Go Yotes!!!

I think they've always given us trouble. I'm sure everyone else remembers the game in Sioux Falls last year.
Ugly win is still a win. Time to avenge the only loss ever had at the SCSC
