This will be a tough game. ORU seems to be one of the teams that could raise some havoc at the tournament come March. Need to get this one. Handle both WIU and ORU on the road in the first half would be a major accomplishment.

South Dakota should easily win the turnover margin, but ORU has been a rebounding machine.
Both teams are only allowing 58.7 points per game, tied for first in conference. USD has the edge on offense.
ORU is only allowing 38.5% FG and 29.0% 3-PT shooting (both are best in conference)

Good stuff. More turnovers leads to more possessions which leads to more shots and, hopefully, more points. I would think shooting percentage will determine the outcome of this game.

We have shown an ability to score both inside and out, so the only thing that would worry me too much, matchup-wise would be cold shooting. Which can happen. Good thing we have a defense to go along with it.

Traditionally and that includes the Seekamp led teams the Coyotes have really struggled to score down in Tulsa. The Coyotes are going to have to bring a lot of effort and defense with them if they are to pull out a win. I can see this as a buzzer beater type game. Whoever makes the last play wins. It will be 64-62 and flip a coin to pick the winner.

Gutty win. Great coaching going to the trapping zone. Plitzuweit is the real deal.

73-68 is the final. The Coyotes were down 11 rather late in the 3rd quarter. Making up 11 points on ORU is like making up 15-17 points on your normal type team. To execute like that at the end on the road against a tough D is a high five type performance for the Coyotes. Good job Yotes, You are 5-0 in the Summit with road wins over 2 upper division teams already.

I have to say, their TV coverage crew needs to re-evaluate showing a replay on EVERY SINGLE ORU BASKET. They missed so many plays, including baskets, on the other end of the floor.

Gutty win. Great coaching going to the trapping zone. Plitzuweit is the real deal. Any details on the game? I was at the men's game so had no opportunity to know what was going down other than the occasional update. You seem to know your stuff so what was your perspective especially on defense at the end. I love zone traps. How did they run it?

Arens kept the Yotes around offensively early as Duffy was scoreless in the first half. ORU went on a 13-2 run in the third to go up by double digits and USD went to almost a 2-1-2 look with Duffy in the middle. McKeever and Arens got really active defensively and made some big plays and Duffy had a couple of big buckets late.
Great win. Arens and McKeever were probably the on the floor MVPs but I really thought the switch to the zone was the difference. Just a great strategic decision that totally changed the game.

Oh, and Trimboli was her normal self off the bench again too.
