What is the chance of victory tonight?
I'm going with a 70-67 win.

This is going to be an extrememly tough game to win. Chicago State tends to dominate in the 2nd half of games, at least in 2nd half of games against UND and the Coyotes. If the Coyotes are going to win I believe that getting off to a good start in the game is as important as ever. The Cougars seem to have the athletes to wear down the opponent so the energy level will need to be high. Good thing for USD that they were able to make easy work of New Jersey Tech because they are going to need an incredible effort tonight.
Either Chicago State is going to run away with the second half as usual or if USD is able to keep it close in the end I think the Lady Yotes may have the advantage in a nail biter at the end. Will CSU have what it takes if they can't get their uptempo game going tonight?

Very impressed with the women's victory tonight. The 2 best teams played and USD's ability to consistently defend and unselfish ball movement answered each run that Chicago State made at them. I really enjoy watching how hard they defend and also how they move the ball to exploit mismatches. They are very well coached team. I don't want to jump the gun so I'll just say that I see them advancing deep into the GWC tourney.

There must have been something in the water that made USD decide they weren't going to have any of Chicago State tonight. Both the men and women got out the steam roller to the Cougars. Has there even been a night where the two teams collectively played as well as they both played tonight. The atmosphere was very good as well. Definately a good night to be a Yote.

Was just thinking. Even if USD doesn't manage to win the Great West regular season title, does anyone else think the gals have a great shot at a postseason title?
The way the defense is playing right now, I'd have a hard time picturing anyone else giving them fits. I see Chicago State and North Dakota (in that order) standing in USD's way. Just too bad there's not postseason opportunities for the Great West champ like on the men's side.

Great game ladies, and even more classy giving kudos to the band. If the women play the next 5 games like they did the last three they'll bring home a GWC title.
And that defense is amazing. I heard they are something like #21 in the country in defense, that was before the 28 point effort Thursday night. Might prop them up to #17 or 18 on the list. Great job!

Did I read it wrong or are there only three Summit teams ahead of USD. I saw IPFW (166), Oral Roberts (141), and SDSU (144) (Hate State - just for good measure). Even North Dakota is ahead of Chicago St, but just by one at 216 and 217. USD is considerably higher at 180.
I don't know if this really means anything except if these are accurate our women should compete well next year in the Summit.

I am so impressed with the improvement that the ladies have shown this year. They have definately upper their game and it is great to see. This is the best USD has played since the 2008 championship game run.

When teams have success or failure coaching always plays a bit part in it. |
