We have three players leaving and three recruits coming in. Did we even have a scholarship to offer? Can't offer what you don't have. Sometimes it's just a numbers crunch. Maybe if Kosters hadn't committed he'd be here.

I heard something very similar to the point that Lee didn’t show any interest or his interest lacked while Noah really really wanted to play here. That’s a tough loss for us, he held his own vs la lumiere after the Yankton game.

Maybe Kosters is willing to take a grey shirt for a year.

The paragraph before the above quote from the Argus Leader article said this:
Asked why he waited until Thursday to announce his decommitment from WSU, Freidel said he didn't want to "make a big deal" of things. "It was about me wanting to stay closer to home," he explained. "I thought that (should be kept) between me and my family."
I had heard that Coach Lee was waiting until Noah release from Wright was official before he made an offer. Yet Noah doesn't announce his release until he has accepted the offer from State. H'mm

The sums it up for yote fans What is he going to say? "Well sdsu wasn't my first choice, but I didn't get the interest I wanted." He also cited that he was ok going to DWU or Briar Cliff. That leads me to believe he never got an offer. It doesn't matter at this point. Good luck to him.

Coach Lee wanted him to walk on and be redshirted. He would get to travel with the team, etc. He then would be offered a scholarship the next year when one became available. Unfortunately, others had scholarships available. In fact the South Dakota State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts likely had several after the ***show that transpired after their coach bolted. I imagine that they told him he would get a shot at starting next year. Tough to blame the kid. I just wish that he would have gone down to take a visit and discuss his options with Coach Lee.

Kinda old news, but now it's official. Nice article with it, too.

As a side note, anyone know the correct way to pronounce his name? I assumed it was like "Canaan", but just heard Gaskins say "Cannon" on the radio... And I thought Ciara was our odd duck...

It's "cannon" on the highlight video audio.
