Today's game matches the Lady Yotes against an undefeated Wichita State team at 4-0. The Shockers are scoring at a 67 ppg pace and giving up 51 so their D is very solid. They are a younger team with only 2 seniors. They have average height with a couple of players at 6'1 and 6'2. The Coyotes should have better depth and overall all experience but will have to play a good game to be successful. GO YOTES!!!

Massey gives a likely score of 70-61 or 72-60, based on if you consider this game neutral location or a home game. And a 76% or 83% chance of winning.
Wichita State has some exceptional stats thus far in the season, albeit against mostly lesser teams:
Their defense has been good: Allow 51.0 points (#30 D-I) Allow 29.5% FG (#13) Allow 22.5% 3P (#50)
Rebounding: +11.3 Rebound margin (#39)

Here are some stats that cut both ways:
They are forcing 18.75 turnovers, but They are committing 21.5 turnovers
They have chalked up 93 FT attempts in just 4 games, but They are shooting 61.3% FT

Looking at the Yotes stats, the big negatives are that we are allowing 36.7% 3PT shooting, and we aren't drawing many fouls. Wichita State isn't a team that puts up a lot of 3PT attempts, but may try to focus on that in this game. I'm not too concerned there. (Denver actually worries me a lot).
As to the fouls, Wichita State commits a lot, so our FT shooting should be a factor in our favor. Give the ball to AA on every possession at the end of the game, if it comes to that.
Our Assist-Turnover ratio is #4 in the country, and WSU has had some ball-control issues, so that is a very favorable matchup.
The only thing that worries me in this game, is if our shots aren't falling on offense. WSU has an aggressive defense, so they will be tested. Our guards need to step up their contested shooting.

I'll be attending the Pentagon game tonight, but I am not getting my hopes up about it being packed with fans. I went to the women's game there two years ago. (Attendance 521)
Last year the men played three games there on a Friday, Sat, Sun. Here's the attendance:
1105 1248 467
I don't know what the problem is with the SF alumni. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. Maybe the opponent will help? Maybe honoring the season tickets will help. Being on Thanksgiving eve could either help or hurt. Who knows?

We found a restaurant right across from the Sanford Pentagon, called Will’s Training Table. Amazing food, and happy hour prices on the drinks. Can’t beat that!

31-27 Yotes at half. The advantage was much better in the first quarter, but WSU switched up their defense and it gave the girls fits. This may very well come down to free throws.
I think Vermillion must have invaded the Pentagon. Whatever the admin did to get people here absolutely worked!
