I don’t think so but does anyone know of a scenario where they both lose?

I don’t think so but does anyone know of a scenario where they both lose? I normally don't cheer for the Dallas Cowboys, but I did yesterday as they beat Wentz, Goedert & the rest of the Eagles.

A few minutes ago, while looking at various online news sources, I was on MSN.com and an ad came up with the headline: South Dakota at Oklahoma Sooners". Really caught my eye. The advertiser was VividSports and they were advertising tickets for the game. I suppose the ads are somehow targeted to those internet users whose usage shows a connection with the State of South Dakota. In any event, I thought I'd drop over to this board and let you know that the game is being promoted so early and those ads have the potential to reach a national audience. Pretty cool.
So I signed on and right away saw this thread started by aldewit. His title "OK, who's going?" was clever -- the OK reference -- made sense because I just saw the reference to the OK game. His message had the link to the ticket site and said "Sooner the better." The link he provided takes one to the same link in the ad I saw on MSN.com.
Then I started reading this thread and it appears some are thinking that this thread is about the SDSU v NDSU game. Really?
Playing at OK is as big a stage as one can find in college football. Driving to the game from South Dakota is a fairly bearable drive. I can see USD having a good contingent of fans at the game. But some people think this thread is about a game in Fargo?
Well, I thought it was cool to see the early promotion of the USD at OU game.

Did not even read the post (put him on ignore). 99% of his posts are Bison cheerleading so you’ll have to forgive those numbed by it.

As out of place as OU starting to promote tickets to a game that isn't part of the current season seems to me, it does, indeed, make far more sense than a thread here about who is going to the NDSU/SDSU game. But here we are.

IMHO it is plenty early to start a thread about who's attending the FBS game next fall but as a Bison fan I guess aldewitt doesn't have any basketball teams to cheer for.

JackJD, First of all, I agree with you on the fact that we will be playing on one of the top 4 stages in college football when we play Oklahoma next September. It’s a daunting task for sure, but given the fact no one with a right mind has us even in the game if we should some how play with them and not wet the bed, come out with no major injuries, cash what I hope is a good check for playing them, then it’s a win win. Exposure plus some $$$. Regarding your comment about this thread turning into a SDSU/NDSU thread, I believe usdtator did that with his comment of go bizun therefore derailing a perfectly poor timed thread, and with others making comments about your game it became permenatntly derailed. I even made a comment wondering if somehow you both could lose. That was 100% made because of your comment on your board about having a moment of silence for Coyote football. You like putting down the Coyotes as much as many of those guys do on your board. That’s why I don’t post there anymore. I would love to have good natured banter and debate back and forth about our programs, but no matter what is said on your board if a Coyote fan post it it gets blasted. Specifically me. That’s why I feel like the SOONER your season is over the better. 😄. Also feel that way about the Bizun. That feeling comes from fatigue. The SDSU feeling comes from your posters.

You know how there are TV and radio shows where there is a "show within the show", the Jim Rome Show is like that. In order to really understand what is going on you need to know the inside jokes and why they are funny. This thread from aldewitt is like that. Al posts a lot on this board, and for the most part his posts are well received. Posts a lot of insight into the matchups, what the odds are, what his GAM predictor says the outcome will be, some pretty good stuff. Thing is, we all know he is a Bison fan. That doesn't bother me, in fact, we've influenced him just as much this year that he has started using the inclusive term "we" when talking about the Coyotes. But most of us here know he is a Bison loyalist. So when a thread pops up the week of the Bison v Rabbits game asking "Who's going?" it did not surprise me one bit that Coyote posters immediately jumped to the conclusion Al was talking about that game instead of the FBS game against Oklahoma that is 9 months away.

Wait a minute. The guy who has on numerous occasions brought up the fact that he has a (gray?) USD sweatshirt (and, you know, his actual degree from USD), but has looked to deride us in all of his posts has been deriding us elsewhere too? Now I feel like an ass for not going along with his shtick. I’m glad he was able to get an education in Vermillion but I couldn’t care less what the guy has to say.

thought I would move this over here where it seems to fit better:
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DAKOTA @ UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA PREDICTED WINNER: OK SOONERS SPREAD: 22 O/U: 86 MYTHICAL SCORE: UOK 54 USD 32
If the Yotes can play the game like that it will be a good game. Any better and it will be a great game. Some interesting points:
USD gets 125 yds on the ground. Sooners allow 176 USD gets 286 in the air. Sooners allow 291
That sets the stage for USDs 32 points. The top end of the Yotes range is 38. It's up to the defense to peal off about 20 from the Sooners expected score.
