Massey gives us a 100% chance of winning, with a typical score of:
91-46
I don't want to underestimate an opponent, but... this home game should be the easiest of the 16 conference games. I have to think the bench will get some quality minutes in the second half. I'd rather see that than stat-padding.
The Jacks beat them 85-52 and played their whole bench.

So for stats, overall I was expecting to see Fort Wayne at the bottom or near the bottom of the conference in nearly every stat, considering their very poor schedule and win/loss record. Instead they are mostly in the middle-low end of most stats. Right in the middle for some. Not many things they are just horrific at. Just not outstanding in anything either, and their biggest problem seems to be winning games.
What Fort Wayne is really really bad at:
65.2% Free Throw Shooting (#9/#252) - This seems to be something easily fixable, right? Strange.
-5.9 scoring margin (#8/#274) This is a direct result of losing games.
35.2% Allowed 3-point shooting (#8/#319) bad perimeter defense. Not a good thing to have in the Summit.

What Fort Wayne is not bad at:
41.2% FG shooting --(#4/#141) 33.1% 3-pt shooting (#5/#89)
3.8 Blocks/game (#3/#76) 7.5 Steals/game (#4/#211)
18.4 Personal Fouls/game (#4/#227)
So they are a decent shooting efficiency team. That's typical of the conference. They get a decent amount of blocks and steals, but overall turnovers isn't as good. Sounds like poor ball pressure? The Conference as a whole is pretty foul-happy, but they don't foul as much as some.

Some players that have decent stats:
Kierstyn Repp #32 5'-10" Soph Guard 35% 3-point shooting (#6/#146) 2.4 3-pointers /game (#4/#101) 108 3-point attempts (#?/#52)
De'Jour Young #13 5'-7" Senior Guard 74 Free-throw Attempts (#5/#75) 53 Free-throws made (#6/#86)
Jaelencia Williams #00 6'-2" Soph Center 66 Free-throw Attempts (#8/#121) 1.13 Blocks/game (#6/#190)
Sh'Toya Sanders #14 6'-0" Junior Forward 1.00 Blocks/game (#7/#222)
Of note: Both of these forwards shoot around 50% FG, neither attempts any 3-pts and both are very bad FT shooters. Both have good block/steal stats, though. This might be the match-up weakness many teams, especially the Yotes, can exploit with our versatile bigs.

I didn't realize that Madison McKeever injured her ankle during the SDSU game. Does anybody know how bad it is?

I would guess that it's just a precaution because we had a full week off.

Not our best performance. Duffy and Sjerven played solid. Lamb got a little shot-happy, but made some good ones late. I still wish we would see the court better on driving lanes. We had lots of open shooters on drives but didn't see them. We do drop it off to the post pretty well though. So maybe you can't have everything!

I didn't realize that Madison McKeever injured her ankle during the SDSU game. Does anybody know how bad it is? She hobbled off in the 2nd qtr and gutted it out. Coach said in pregame that it was pretty swollen. But they shouldn’t have needed her for this game, so just keep getting treatment and get healthy as quickly as possible.

What Fort Wayne is really really bad at:65.2% Free Throw Shooting (#9/#252) ......50%-5.9 scoring margin (#8/#274) ......-18
35.2% Allowed 3-point shooting (#8/#319) .........29% updated with game stats... PFW only shot 8 FT in the game. The only players that were drawing shooting fouls were their two bigs, who typically are poor FT shooters. Sanders was 4-5 and Williams was 0-3. USD only got called for 10 personal fouls, which is pretty low. USD only shot 29% from 3??? Lamb only hit 2 of 6, and Duffy, Frederick and the two Arens sisters were a combined 1 of 9. Woof. Korngable was the one bright spot here, shooting 2 of 2. I didn't watch the game, but I doubt PFW had much to do with our arc shooting.

Looks like a typical day for the Dons in terms of shooting efficiency and limiting fouls. turnover margin in favor of Yotes 18-9, so that was good for us, at least. We also got 20 points off turnovers vs 6 for them, so it paid off. We only out-rebounded them 33-29. That is a stat I am surprised to see. They got 8 Offensive rebounds and converted 11 2nd-chance points. We got 11 Offensive rebounds but only scored 4 2nd-chance points. I'm guessing a lot of those may have been put-backs by their bigs?
