Great thread title, right?...
...Anyhoo.
The last time around this was an unnecessarily physical contest. The F-Hawks tried to F up the Yotes with an ugly (and ineffective) game-plan. Not that I don't appreciate the effort, but we can't really afford to injure any players in a game like that right before the tournament. That would be pretty crappy.
So, I hope we can secure a victory and get out of the game cleanly without worrying about the margin of victory. Give the bench a chance to maintain a lead. JMO
Massey has us winning:
82-54
I'll be just fine with a single-digit W, and a healthy roster, thank you.

BTW - Senior day for our Swiss Army Knife and master facilitator, Allison Arens. I remember watching her in the 2016-17 season opener at the Pentagon, and being shocked at how this soft-spoken former bench player was just taking over the game with aggressive, athletic play. She slashed to the basket with reckless abandon. Of course, over the next two seasons she evolved into a well-rounded, consistent rock of a player. Now known as much for her assists, steals and rebounds as her points. And the free-throw shooting! What consistency. Despite only losing one senior next year, we will have a huge hole to fill, ala Miller and Guebert at State. She will be missed.

We've been lucky to have three Arens sisters. Here are a couple more photos that really show how close they really are. Just for sentimental purposes: I don't know the circumstances, but I assume Bridget is either consoling or congratulating Allison after a track meet: Here's Monica and Allison after one of many state BB championships: The Arens sisters and Duffy sisters have contributed a lot to the "family" and "wholesome" culture of the team, in my opinion. Great work ethic. Great values. Great attitudes. That kind of stuff rubs off on the other players, I think.

She's just been such a pleasure to watch play.

This recent pic of Allison is actually one of my favorites. She just looks the part.

Allison has been amazing to watch over the past few years. Her sophomore year was a monster year, averaging 17.1 pts and 5.3 rebounds, but she didn't have near the supporting cast that she has now (nor the focus on D). She is just one of those people that makes everyone else around them better, which I think is the ultimate compliment. Are there any more Arens sisters in the pipeline? How about some cousins? I love seeing all the Crofton fans at the games.
I wouldn't mind seeing Coach P give Allison the green light to take it to the hoop a little more this game. Not sure there is anyone better driving to their left and finishing.

I'll just come out and say it: UND is cheap. Swatting at ankles in transition if they're on the floor, blows to the face in the post away from the ball and the ever classy press down 40. Good call coach, that ship has sailed. I wondered after the first game when we played up there when there were something like 57 fouls and a ridiculous number of free throws, looked for it when they played SDSU, but on TV you can never really be sure. Focused on it today, from courtside seats so I had a good view and I will admit sometimes you will see what you want to see, and they didn't disappoint. Have to believe they're coached to play that way and I guess they think it will disrupt a team's flow, throw them off their game or upset them, but whatever's the reason it's crap. Anybody else see what I saw?

It was certainly physical. Midco interviewed Mandy Koupal at halftime and she commented on that. I didn't watch very closely to see if it was dirty though. Hard time paying close attention from home when the game is never in contention.
