I've said it since last spring and I'll say it again, "the Coyotes will beat NDSU in Fargo." Those are freaking quotes. We were better than NDSU last year. They were a 3-8 team with those 3 wins coming against less than stellar opponents. We are better than NDSU this year and we will prove it on Saturday. Bison fans can talk about their defense, but Coyote fans all know that Coach Ed will turn this into a track meet, problem is the Bison O will not be able to keep up. We'll see come saturday. .....and yote fans can talk about their offense. Bison defense is better than the Gophers defense. I cannot wait for saturday.

Cal Poly's D last year is probably similar to/bettern than than the Bison D but that didn't help them and the game still ended up a high scoring track meet.

This is what I think in response to the last couple of comments. I think this years Bison defense is better than last years Cal Poly defense but obviously that is debatable.
Anyone that watched the USD Minnesota game could not tell the Coyotes talent was lesser than what Minnesota had. Minnesota had no answer for Warren and no answer for Powell. Minnesota might not be great but they are in the Big 10. (ok here comes the shocker) Minnesota's defense actually could not keep up with the speed of USD's offense. No one could catch Warren, no one could catch Powell and no one could even stop a pass that was threaded between 3 Gopher defenders with the precision of an open heart surgeon.
Because USD recruits outside the midwest they tend to get more speed than is typically available to programs around this area. USD's offense is much more like a team from California or Florida than it is from South Dakota. They create mismatches and take advantage of them. Will Powell does not look and play like your average South Dakota player.

Are you really talking up last years Cal Poly defense? The Stangs lost five out of their last seven games and gave up around 30 per game during thar run. Let's not even mention the fact that one of those wins came against something called Dixie State. Cal Poly wasn't a good team last year, period. I'm not ready to call the Bison a great team this year, far from it but to this point of the season I think NDSU's defense is better than what Cal Poly put on the field last year and I'd bet most Poly fans would agree. I guess we'll find out in a few days. But don't forget this years Bison defense has given up only one TD all year.

So for everybody who will be stuck in Vermillion, where should we meet? Leo's sounds like a winner. I'll talk to Rusty to make sure the game will be on every set in the place.

Thanks Midco. I had direct tv for 15 years and decided to make the switch because the NFL Sunday ticket is getting over priced. Midco Sports having USD was the straw that broke the camels back in my switch. Thanks for helping validate my decision Midco, YYYEEESSS!

Now is NDSU. Tomorrow is Saturday. On Saturday, there is no tomorrow. In order to permenatly place USD amongst the FCS powers nationally, we have to go to Fargo and line up and go toe to toe with the Bison. They might not be among the elite this year but their storied tradition has entitled them the respect we must give them. Respect............not fear. GO COYOTES Amen Brother! They're a good team but they act like everything they've done is so great We have a chance to beat Minnesota and the team that thought they INVENTED the major fcs/fbs upset in the SAME YEAR! SWWEEEETTTTTT!!!! Y83

I couldn't get the link to work. The same link is on a thread in bisonville which is here (scroll down to a post by bisontd): www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20988&page=2For those who may not know about KFAN...its a Minneapolis-based radio station but they have a feed into Fargo. Minnesota Coach Brewster quit talking to the KFAN jocks last year and that's why on most breaks they replay in the background the "Bison Score" "Yotes Score" and "Jackrabbits Score" (listen to the audio and you'll hear it right at the start). The "Fire Denny Guy" is lakesbison. He took the "name" from when Denny Green was coaching the Vikings. Note the KFAN jocks question whether lakesbison actually graduated from NDSU (he said he graduated in 2000 but is vague about how long it took etc). There are those on Bisonville who know Lakes who will state he does not have a degree from NDSU. Anyway, the KFAN guys are usually a little more funny.
