I brought this up in the thread that got locked.
Who do we think starts at QB if/when we get to the season in the spring? This year doesn’t count on the eligibility clock. Does it make it more likely we see Ekern or Camp in the spring in anticipation and preparation for fall 2021?
Maybe someone starts a poll in a new thread and we merge threads?

You play whoever gives you the best chance to win. It is still a real season, so I don't think it makes sense to throw underclassmen in unless they are supposed to be on the field.
Does anyone have any guesses on who would be starting if we were playing right now? It seemed like Tsagalis was the backup last year but I don't remember him throwing more than a couple passes. People on here were excited when Moore transferred in but I haven't heard anything since. What do we have in Parks?
If the season plays out as planned we are going to be looking much better at QB in Fall 2021. It's painful enough going into a season with no game experience at QB, but it's probably even worse if you pile on a cancelled season.

I’ve heard from multiple people that Moore isn’t the guy. Tsagalis likely knows the offense the best. He was backup the last 2 seasons. My take on Parks is that if he was the guy, he likely would have already passed Tsagalis on the depth chart last year. I think Tsagalis is the likely starter, but I am hopeful that Ekern or Camp win the job.

Yeah, I heard also that Moore is not getting a lot of reps in practice. Players are saying the QB depth chart is already set from their reps.

My two cents: With the added practice time I would think that the postponement of the season would only help the younger QBs get up to speed on running the offense and, since game experience is basically a wash, it just might not matter who's done what in the past few seasons because no one really has any kind of a track record. We really don't have any idea how good any of these guys are. I'm with Yotes in that the QB who gives you the best chance to win plays, although in the back of my mind I wouldn't mind seeing one of the younger QBs step up and grab the position if for no other reason than the sake of continuity in the future. I'd hate to be in the position that we're breaking in a new quarterback every season.

Sound good and all, but the word from the players is the QB depth chart is set. One of the young freshmen is getting a lot of reps and looks to be the number 2. Major concerns from the team.

So if it’s set, what is the depth chart? Are you saying the team is upset by said depth chart?

If it is close give it to the younger guy that will be around 2 or 3 more years. Obviously a Chris Streveler is not going to the bench for a younger guy but if there is no Streveler on the roster than why not. I wish the Yotes would have given some of the other QB's more playing time last year.

But I kinda think in our scenario this season the tie goes to the younger guy. If it’s between Tsagalis or Ekern/Camp and it’s an even scenario, go with the youth or rotate. Just my opinion.

That no one has a real opinion, here on the internet where anyone can boldly make an uninformed stance, is pretty telling. We don't even have a spring game to go off of here. None of us have seen these guys play at all yet.
I propose we have a "spring" game on D Days to prepare for the upcoming season.

I think I saw something about virtual festivities the other day. The students will surely do their usual thing but nothing for us.
