So most of us probably have not had the chance to get it. Will you get it or do you prefer to remain anonymous. My thought is that if you are not of the belief that getting it is harmful to your health than why not get it. The quicker everyone gets it the quicker the pandemic will end according to science. Getting the shot isn't just about the person getting it, it is about protecting others from you spreading it to them. The same as wearing a mask helps accomplish. It will definitely help Coyote Athletics for this pandemic to wind down so they can make some cash by selling more tickets and creating more interest.

Not to nitpick, but is there another reason to get the shot OTHER than to end the pandemic? Like, someone just likes getting shots or something?

I'll get it whenever it becomes available to me. I have no fear of covid, and have even welcomed contracting it for the break from work (disclaimer: I take every precaution to prevent the spread out of respect for others), but I understand the importance of everyone getting the shot to get this damn thing over with.
I was initially more afraid of a vaccine than covid itself because of money hungry companies and politicians pushing through a vaccine that wasn't properly vetted, but it seems that there are no adverse side affects from my understanding of how it works and the tens of millions who have already been safely injected.

I have had several people in know die from it. I was going to give you a “like” for this, but I thought that could e misconstrued. I’m sorry for you loss(es). I’ve been really fearful for my parents, but they have been very smart about avoiding risk. My concern now is for their mental health. Isolation and fear for an extended period aren’t good either. Once they are vaccinated (hopefully soon) I will breathe a huge sigh of relief. I’ll probably throw them a party. Steaks and premium beer.

My grandparents, who are 83, are set to get their first shot this coming week and I'm elated. They are healthy, active, productive members of the Vermillion community, and even despite their age it would be a shame for this disease to take them. They seem to have many great years left in them, but are the type being cut down by this virus that so many want to write off as people who were leaving us anyways. I wasn't convinced my grandparents would bother with the vaccine though. Talking to my grandma at Christmas she mentioned her sister-in-law's run in with polio back in the late 50s, but grandma never bothered getting that vaccine. Polio wasn't a pandemic, but still befuddling.

I have gotten both shots and didn't get sick from either of them. My wife is a nurse who came out of retirement to work in a COVID shot clinic part time. Both of us are big believers in how important this is.

Deal?
