What a day yesterday with Chicago and Philadelphia both getting sudden death OT winning goals to force game 7 in their respective series.
The Chicago Blackhawks losing their first 3 games of the series to Vancouver only to come back and force a game 7. The Blackhawks are an 8 seed and the Canucks are not only a #1 seed but had the best record in the NHL, this is incredible. With Chicago bouncing Vancouver from the playoffs the last two seasons to the headcase that is Vancouver's all-everything meltdown goalie Roberto Luongo, this series has oozed drama.
Tuesday night will be awesome with Philly and Buffalo followed by Chicago/Vancouver back to back, both game 7's.
Go Hawks!!!

1-0 Canucks after 1 period. Hawks look good though. Need to get the next goal and rattle Luongo.

Almost had to call the ambulance on this one. Game 7 OT loss is tough to take. Too jacked to sleep. Think I'll slam a few beers to take the edge off so I can sleep.
The fun continues tomorrow with two more game 7s. The Bruins and Canadiens game should be epic.

Told you Boston/Montreal would be epic. Game 7 OT win by the Bruins. Tampa and Pitt on now with Tampa up 1-0 in the 3rd. NHL kills NBA playoffs.

So is Real Housewives of ___________. Does that make it quality programming? Didn't think so. But don't stop believing the NBA is better, because ESPN tells you so. Versus/NBC do a way better job in their hockey coverage than ESPN ever did. I am glad NBC /Versus got the contract for the next ten years. But that also means no ESPN Sportcenter coverage for the NHL because if ESPN doesn't have it for programming, they don't cover it. Same goes for ESPN Radio. They just drone on and on about NFL labor issues and the NBA. I swear, they don't even cover baseball anymore.
I watched the end of those NBA games last night after the NHL games. Even the FIRST OT NBA playoff game this season, the Spurs game, lacked in drama, intensity, and emotion. It's just not as exciting.

OK Yote 53, I don't know who pissed in your cereal this morning, but you are a fool to think that game lacked intensity, plain and simple. I am an NHL fan and I am so happy to see Todd Richards gone as the coach of the Wild. He should've been gone at midseason probably.
The first round of the NHL playoffs was amazing, but so is the first round of the NBA playoffs. You have to be bias to say one is better than the other, plain and simple. Both have been amazing. Wake up.

Actually the worst thing about the NHL playoffs is that the Canucks advanced...I can't stand Vancouver.

#1 - I appreciate the fact that you administer this board, but to put it simply, if you are going to be the administrator, then act like the administrator. We don't need another pissing match on this board.

No. It's a let down switching the station. One second I'm watching Boston win the series in OT and the New Garden going crazy, the next I'm watching a stale OT NBA game with the #1 seed Spurs season on the line and I just didn't see the passion or desperation.
