Fair analysis, but I gotta disagree with the MSU pick. OK State obviously played down to their competition and people are giving CA more credit than they deserve. CA is a middle-bottom tier MVFC team. |

It was a crazy week in the FCS and the Valley was no exception. My recap is below. I also lay out who I think the committee would have in the playoffs if the season ended today. Big ol win for the Coyotes last week. I predicted it, and it was more-or-less the only thing I got right last week haha. You do a really good job on covering the Valley. Being a Panther alum had to make it difficult to give the Coyotes a thumbs up. This USD team is quietly playing their way to a potential MVFC title shot. We obviously need to have the one game at a time mindset but I think we do. Our linebackers are fantastic leaders and well grounded. They are not letting success change how they play. Our defense is solid. Fantastic coaching and an overall scheme that is tough to move the ball on. When the roof looked like it was gonna collapse the first 5 minutes of the second half our leaders took over and instilled the confidence we were the better team. Told their teammates to calm the hell down, relax, and regain control. And they did. That’s leadership. |
