You do a really good job on covering the Valley. Being a Panther alum had to make it difficult to give the Coyotes a thumbs up. This USD team is quietly playing their way to a potential MVFC title shot. We obviously need to have the one game at a time mindset but I think we do. Our linebackers are fantastic leaders and well grounded. They are not letting success change how they play. Our defense is solid. Fantastic coaching and an overall scheme that is tough to move the ball on. When the roof looked like it was gonna collapse the first 5 minutes of the second half our leaders took over and instilled the confidence we were the better team. Told their teammates to calm the hell down, relax, and regain control. And they did. That’s leadership. I really like your team and I have all year. You've been quietly killing it. It isn't as quiet now that you beat UNI on the road, but I don't think you'll get the attention you deserve until you beat a DSU (and I think you will). |

What I like about your breakdowns on matchups and forecasting is it “isn’t coach speak”. Not sure what your full time gig is but you’re good at what you do on the Valley beat. I have thought about doing a podcast on the MFVC and get the quality and content good enough that the flagship stations for each school would carry it 30-60 minutes prior to the game and create additional revenues and fan interest. Then possibly pair it up with your outlet and get more and more talk about the premier FCS league in the nation. Thanks for your efforts. Here’s hoping UNI rises from last week and plays their butts off this week. |
