Yeah, i was on campus and the SCSU thing was not a shot, i am just saying the fans weren't excited about anyone except for Augie at the end honestly. It was pretty sad. I don't think students will know who IUPUI or Northern Arizona are. I also don't think most of the students remember that USD used to play UNC on a regular basis. There is really no name recognition with the Big Sky or Summit, but because the Summit has been more successful, I would go with them. Since the Summit is in SF, I would think their teams are known more.

I have looked at several different sites for NCAA RPI Ratings. They are all slightly different. The one location that I found on the NCAA Site just had the rankings versus the actual rating. The rating has more meaning to me because of the difference between 18 and 28 tends to very small versus the difference between 14 to 22. Anyway looking at the site that you provided the 5 year averages are Summit 0.4636 vs BigSky 0.4602. Showing that the conference are comparable. Which is what I expected.. Overall I think the Summit conference is very good. It will be interesting to see what the Big Sky has to offer.

PS JackJD it's not too late to join your son and become a Howling Pack member. HEHE Okay, that made me chuckle. While I cannot lay claim to being a member of the HP, I'll bet I've donated more money to USD generally and USD athletics specifically than you have to SDSU (tuition and colleges expenses don't count). Want to take that bet? Have to have cancelled checks for proof.

I'm just playing with you. My only donation to SDSU was in the form of a parking ticket during the men's basketball regional in 1997ish. I was staying with a SDSU basketball player and my car got ticketed and his didn't - go figure. Maybe it was that USD sticker that gave it away. There were litterally 5 cars in the parking lot. Blizzard, spring break, I think maybe the year Ryan and Jered Miller dumped 65 collectively on SDSU. That might not have been the same year tho. Volmer was either a freshman or sophomore, can't remember. Either way, my $86 ticket is all I've donated to the Bunnies. But I actually watched Cody play a lot of games in Frost. Unless USD had a game at home I did go up there to watch. But it was easy back then to sneak in with a student ID, so again I refer back to my $86 ticket as the sole donation to SDSU. I bet you have me beat.

Question? Why did you bother paying it? Not like they could do anything to you if you don't. You didn't even go to school there so they couldn't withhold your degree or transcripts (which is what they do to get those things paid).

I'm just playing with you.... I know. You're doing the right thing for your school: encourage people to join the Howling Pack and support USD athletics. One former poster on this board had it back-asswards. He contended that if USD didn't put out a good product, he wouldn't support the program. One has to support the program first so that the program can put out a good product.

You have to support the good times with the bad times right? There are people who still go to Clippers games...case and point.
