Go fuck yourself!!! Watch the game and bitch about it. Congrats on keeping this staff around for 3 more years. Don’t worry about my kid worry about yours. He looks great!!!! Hey I'll take 5 picks over 12 games. How'd your kids career turn out? He got a snap or two once didn't he? Do you show up at McDonald's and criticize his boss for not putting him on the first register too? I really don’t understand who you think I am. But go ahead lash out at me. I am the reason they are losing. Great offensive stats 65 total yards 49 passing. That’s right he’s good

They were ready to play, athletes don’t just show up and say “oh I won’t play hard today”, not how they are wired! It’s a coaching staffs job to put kids in positions to make plays. It’s the players job to execute those plays. BUT if those players don’t get opportunities, then that’s on the coaches head.
Hence why the score is 13-0.
SIU #15 - multiple touches in a variety of ways! #11 - 7 catches on 9 targets! Creative play calling = move the ball

You had a kid come to Vermillion and realize he wasn't good enough to play college football, which is fine - not everybody is good enough to ever get on the field. You can blame whoever you want for that, but at the end of the day, your kid just wasn't a good player. But I'm done addressing it, we have a second half of football to play and you add nothing of value to the discussion here.

Again with “my kid” . Watch the second half. Great screen pass. Again all of you have a problem with the truth so you lash out. I never said he sucks or he is no good. Today he is bad period. No matter what you think

Sorry guys, but these guys are complete idiots. Put your best players on the field with the game on the line. How about get you QB in a rhythm before driving the ball down the field.

Well. There ya go I guess. The better team definitely didn't win this one and that's what sucks. In reality, the committee had the writing on the wall anyway, neither of these teams was going to win in Fargo next week.
I'm happy with this season. After the spring season, I was expecting a 2 or 3 conference win season, so to be in the playoffs was a very pleasant surprise for me. I like what I saw in terms of progress across the board and think the future is bright for this young team. We took big steps forward. Unlike the last playoff year, we didn't ride one player the whole season. There's reason to believe the success we saw this year will carry over and grow. I'm thankful for that.

I agree that we improved greatly and have the foundation to continue to improve, but I honestly don't know what you mean that the better team didn't win. They pushed us around all game long. That's our next step.

Sometimes you have to be graceful and tip your hat. SIU came to play today. They took the Yotes out of their game plan, played hard, and won. I saw more fire from that SIU sideline today. Not saying the Yotes didn't want it, just I think the other side wanted it more.
A few key turnovers were deadly for the Yotes. First drive, and when we were going in for a closing score.
I'm upset but proud of what this team accomplished this season. We're young, we're strong, we'll take the next step next year.
Been to too many season ending, losing records, getting blown out final games to get too upset about this.
It's progress.

Also, good luck to the Salukis, they'll need it. They brought some faithful fans today that were pretty good sports. Cheered for their team.

That's our next step. We turned the ball over 4 times today. Unforced turnovers. That was difference in the game. They ran the ball better than we did but that wasn't the difference in the game. I'm comparing this loss to the game we played with ISUr in the spring. They gave us 6 turnovers and that was why we won. We did the same thing to SIU today. Take away those picks and we win going away.

This team has a ton of talent and will have a chance to be very good for a while. Yes, some of the decision making at QB and protection issues up front need to be addressed, but hopefully there is growth in those categories both with the coaches and players. The defense made a huge jump this year, and yes, they have some issues vs the deep pass, but all fixable with better communication and leverage in coverage.
My issue doesn’t get resolved until there is a systematic change in the offense. USD offense doesn’t produce unless it can hit deep shot plays built off bubble screens or the like, that works great if you are moving the ball consistently with the run game. The passing game is inept and reminds me of the Green Bay Packers at the end with Mike McCarthy. Static and has no design. Just calling plays instead of designing plays to get your best players the ball. No movement or design to get guys open especially on 3rd down just win your route. When your only answer on 3rd down is to throw a tailback screen play, there going to be problems. Hence we can’t stay on the field and then it stresses out your defense over time. Look at all the loses and tell me what the issue was in those loses? Defense got overworked and Look deep cuz the answer is plain and simple. Couldn’t move the ball cuz we couldn’t convert 3rd downs, QB held on to the ball too long cuz the deep shots weren’t there or we had turnovers. We need a quick game and an intermediate passing game to be effective and lessen the stress on a young QB. Then design shot plays to your best WRs. The ball doesn’t have to be throw 30 yards or more down the field on every pass play. This offense only works if you have a QB that can bail them out with his legs on broken plays. Camp is not that guy so get the ball out of his hands quick.

Maybe everyone else already knew, but when I looked at the 2-deep on defense, I was repeatedly saying 'who the #$%! is this guy'. Getting banged up is one thing, but I felt like nearly half the defense didn't see the field until the last week or two.
But you have to give SIU credit - when they needed 9 yards on third down, they got 9.5. We couldn't get them off the field in the first half and that too our offense completely out of rhythm. They did to us what we had done to a number of teams this year.
