Bradley (3-3) is making the program's first-ever road trip out to the Dakotas this weekend. The Braves started off at North Dakota State on Saturday night, falling 83-72 to the Bison. The Braves led by five at the halftime break, but a second-half surge by a Bison squad shooting 60 percent from the floor proved tough to match. Bradley's leading scorer Gabi Haack (19.0 ppg) dropped 22 points in the game and was joined by Daija Powell and Tatum Koenig in double-figures. The Braves' second-leading scorer Caroline Waite (14.0 ppg) missed the game with a non-COVID illness. Bradley has lost three-straight, all on the road, since the program's 64-57 win over the Big Ten's Wisconsin back on Nov. 19.

The Braves' leading scorers are both guards, one of them a 5'-9" 5th year, and one a 5'-4" freshman. They do have some size at the post, but scoring-wise they are guard-led. Despite the apparent mismatch, good arc-shooting teams might not be our best matchup.
They are only averaging 12 turnovers per game (#11 natioinally), and have a 1.36 Assist/TO ratio (#12 nationally), so I'll assume their guards possess the ball a lot, and have good handles... sounds like a good challenge for our turnover-creation machine.

I'm sure if USD closes out this win, it will be because of the Bison effect since they played Bradley 2 nights ago.

This was a pretty sound ass kicking. Bradley was out matched from the opening tip and it showed throughout. Glad to see a lot of points come from the bench tonight, that will be important as the season goes on.

Absolutely stellar defensive play tonight. Their leading scorer, #3, was held to half her average despite forcing up a number of hurried shots. If she hadn't managed to bank in a three, she wouldn't have even hit double figures. This was a player hitting an even 50% of her three ball attempts so far this season and Korngable and Ugofsky really did a number on her tonight.

Elcoyote, you are spot on. That defense was stifling. Their help side defense is awesome. That was one physical game. #1 literally threw a punch and it grazed off Hannah’s head. She should’ve been ejected but the refs wouldn’t even look at it Nonroom in this game for that.

Couple of interesting stats... 1. Bradley was averaging a little over 69 points per game coming in 2. First time in Coyote history that the women have held a team to under 20 points in a half 3. First time in Coyote history that the women have held a team to under 10 points in a quarter (2 quarters actually). Defense was on point tonight. Last night was indeed a dominant defensive game, but on Feb. 6, 2019 we held UNO scoreless in the first quarter and led them 50-6 at halftime. I've seen a lot of Coyote BB and that was the most dominant performance I've witnessed.

I guess Coach P was right when she called this team the best defensively she has ever had! Lots of teams talking about improving their defense in the preseason this year... I'll take the pestering pack every year.

By my (very) quick count, the Yotes held opponents under 10 points in a quarter 20 times (including Oregon, oddly enough), and under 20 for a half 5 or 6 times last season alone. I would bet those numbers are higher in 19-20 and 18-19 seasons.

I still think the Oregon game in the WNIT is the best game I have ever seen a Coyote team play in any sport. The 2005 game against UNO in football was a close 2nd.

Post-season, P5 opponent, raucous Dome crowd and complete Coyote domination. I remember Kelly Graves, the OU coach, basically conceded late second qtr when he sat down and never got up again.
