Not really the most entertaining game to watch, but a win is a win. Ugly offense on both sides first half, but a lot of that can be attributed to some great defense. Still, if this team is going to accomplish what everyone hopes for, they're going to have to start hitting some three pointers and just overall getting a lot more efficient on offense. It's getting to be a not-so-good trend. Valpos's five out offense was doomed from the start. 'Yotes picked off numerous passes, played great help defense and just shut down everything they tried to do. Valpo ended up with 0 (zero) as in nada, nil, zilch offensive rebounds on the night which is pretty amazing when you think about it. You'd think somebody would at least wander into one sometime during the game. Give credit to our team for working hard and boxing out, but when the opponent never establishes a post player it makes things a lot easier.

Remember, these young ladies just spent a week taking numerous finals, submitting papers and projects, and getting everything in order, to be finished with classes for the semester. Sometimes, basketball will suffer from this….

Tough time of year for these kids. They have finals. It’s the holidays and heart strings are tugging at their emotions to be home with family. Cold setting in especially bothersome while traveling. That’s a lot to deal with. Women or men. They’ll get through it but doesn’t change the fact it’s tough. But then again this is one tough team.

Oklahoma knocks off #16 BYU tonight. Pitt remains good. Northwestern remains good. A and M is good. Wichita is good. Oh yeah South Carolina is undefeated and killing their opponents including annual powerhouse Connecticut.

Great D!! Holding a team to 20% shooting and only 21 pts after the first Q and 31 total is amazing! They were averaging 59 a game. Offense ebbs and flows but great D is a great equalizer! Go Yotes!!
