Thursday, Jan 13 vs Denver @ 7PM (free stream) Saturday, Jan 15 vs Omaha @ 4PM (free stream)
The Yotes are slight favorites in both of these home games. Hopefully Fuller will be available? The "Magnificent seven" played admirably last week, but now it is time to put it all together and rack up a few conference wins.

Denver game on MidcoSN, Omaha game on MidcoSN2.
I have a hard time expecting a win at this point, but these seem like two of the worst teams in the conference coming into our arena. It would be a bit disappointing to drop either.

Pregame article for Denver: goyotes.com/news/2022/1/13/mens-basketball-coyotes-back-home-for-denver.aspxThe PioneersDenver (6-12) has shrugged off a slow start to the Jeff Wulbrun era by starting 2-3 inside the Summit with wins against St. Thomas and North Dakota, and an overtime loss against Western Illinois. Wulbrun came to Denver after serving on the bench at Stanford the last five seasons. He has helped guide three different collegiate programs to the NCAA tournament in California, Illinois State and UAB. Wulbrun added transfer guard KJ Hunt Jr., who leads the Pioneers in points (15.9 ppg), rebounds (4.6 rpg) and assists (3.3 apg). Hunt has played at College of Central Florida, McNeese State, Morehead State, and now Denver. Community college transfer Jordan Johnson also averages double-digit points.

my Yahoo sports app shows the Yotes favored -6.5 O/U 139.5, so...
73.0-66.5

I will take the Coyotes 13-12. The last play will involve a full court heave that will bounce off the court and go in at the buzzer for another national play of the day nominee out of Vermillion.
In all seriousness I will go 62-58 Yotes but I have absolutely no confidence in predicting this team this year.

Lee has burned Keaton Kutcher's redshirt. In game 16. In a season where this team clearly isn't a contender. Okay....

Otherwise it is OK to be a bit pissed at Lee - sure there was foul trouble, but it is only the first half. Its not like the Yotes were going to finish the game with only 4 players.

This was in my head, but banking on said rule without confirmation would be reckless. I feel burning the redshirt is a highly questionable move no matter how you look at it, unless Lee feels either Kutcher or himself have questionable futures here.

Way to nail free throws at the end and nail down the victory. It wouldn't have even been necessary if #24 from Denver, a post player, hadn't banked in two treys in a row midway through the second half. I think only four turnovers tonight. That's impressive!

We're not world beaters, but dammit I like how our offense is playing. We have a bunch of guys that can get to the rim and the shots are falling.

We're good defensively. Our guys play hard. I wish fans would start giving them some credit for the effort. They're making the most of their talent and a person can't ask for more than that. Main Achilles heel I can see is three-point shooting. I keep waiting for them to break loose some game.

You win games in the paint.
