That was the most painful telecast to watch. Wowser No graphics across the bottom, including no clock and no score. Had to follow live stats on my phone, which was WAY ahead of the webcast.

Yotes get the W (75-72). It was a tough game for everyone - Yotes, Necks, officials, both head coaches. Really noticed the Yotes legs wore out in the 2nd half (short on almost all outside shots), which isn't a big surprise. Nice to grind out 2 wins where the grit of the team will never show up in a box score. This team is easy to like. I'm so happy for them to pick up these two wins on the road trip from hell.

Regardless, great road trip under very difficult circumstances. This team is one that is really to be admired for their guts and effort as I have a soft spot for overachieving teams. Coach Lee has done a really nice job with these guys. Still looking forward to getting Fuller back as well which can only help with the depth if nothing else.

The boys had every reason to have a down game, but they stayed strong until the end. Go Yotes!

Every time they closed the gap we held them off. WIU missed some key free throws. Our defense was pretty good

Sure, short synopsis: Yotes: tough night shooting, not much movement on O, tire legs/short on shots, got lost on D more than we are used to seeing
Necks: tough night shooting, a lot of just odd/dumb shots and passes, started the game down 10-0, had 2 lane violations on FT in the 2nd half
Officials: They were trying to establish something in the first half, but it was hard to figure out what. Hand checking was OK, playing D with your feet wasn't. After the Lee technical, they seemed to want to punish him the rest of the half. 2nd half was called completely different, which lead to Jeter's technical (probably should have been tossed). The flops were legit flops - they got those right. Head coaches - both with T's, both really hurt their team in the moment. Jeter in the 2nd half seemed to be trying to prove a point more than anything - kept playing Tasos straight up in the post, even though the Yotes were ice cold (could have easily double teamed), and Tasos was beating his defender like a drum.

Big win after a reschedule due to illness. I wouldn't have guaranteed that win a month ago with the circumstances. This team has heart and can win.
A few observations thus far: Mason is becoming much more of an offensive threat, but hope to see a little more shot distribution thru more passing Goodrich is very good at rebounding positioning and keeping the ball alive when not in the best position I'm not sold on Oliver, he is serviceable but not much more; same with Koster Kutcher needs to see more time if his redshirt has been burned Tasos is solid needs better shot selection at times Kruz needs to be a bit more aggressive Boogie has improved offensively from last year Not sure whats going on with Zizic, he had some good moments last year
When does Fuller get back?

Coach Kasperbauer put it succinctly:
Guessing the laundromat reference had something to do with the influenza. Yuck.
They will come out of this pretty mentally tough.

I didn't have much optimism for this season with Umude gone and AJ out, but dammit I'm happy with how our boys are playing. Well done fellas. Keep it rolling.
