The predictions are getting closer together, with more agreement. In the last two games, Massey and Warren Nolan actually were closer to the actual score in the last two games, mainly due to a lower offensive output by the Yotes. I tend to think it is pretty hard to beat the same team by 30 or 40 points consecutively, unless they are really really bad. And I wouldn't say that about these two teams.
I'll be happy with wins of any kind. I think our defense will prevent an upset, regardless of how our shooting is.

I was wrong last time we played you when i thought the game would be more competitive so this time i not sure what will happen. I do hope its competitive game we need to continue to have good competitive games as we are rebuilding our fan support for women's basketball. I would give you advantage that you should win this game, but anything can happen when two teams play. I think how the game is called will have effect on the outcome of the game. If you guys get into foul trouble like you did with WSI the game could get quite close or if we get into foul trouble like last Saturday you guys will win by equal score from our first game. As we stand now were healthiest we been this year even so were still missing couple of players which hurts our depth. We have grown as team and playing with more confidence, better defense, having same 8 players for last 6 games. Who ever wins i hope its good competitive game and everybody comes out the game healthy for both sides. The more competitive the Summit is, the better it is for all the teams and for the teams to have chance to play in post season tournaments.

NDSU was off to a good start early in season then brick wall. they miss post Marie Olson who went back to Cali.
Heaven Hamling is a top 5 summit player & she is way too unselfish, last game they let her be selfish and put up 20 is.
her and cobbins are good . that's it.

Yeah, I'd have to say a lack of production from Hamling might be the biggest surprise of this season for the Bison. With our luck, this will be her breakout party....
I'm thinking we won't overlook her, and give her some defensive attention (as maybe other teams have done, too?).Edit: actually she is the leading scorer. I hadn't looked that closely. Seems that the team as a whole might be the biggest issue in Fargo? I don't really know what the Lady Bison's problems are this year.

pregame article: goyotes.com/news/2022/1/26/womens-basketball-road-swing-begins-in-fargo.aspx THE BISON
North Dakota State (8-11, 4-5) sits fifth in the Summit standings entering the second half of league play. The Bison are led by Heaven Hamling... and Ryan Cobbins with 13.6 and 11.6 points per game, respectively. Hamling ranks 31st nationally with 44 made 3-pointers this season. The Coyotes' defensive goal Thursday night will be to defend the Bison without fouling. NDSU ranks 16th nationally in free throws made. ONE LAST THING
Perhaps one of the most impressive statistics so far in league play has been USD's 3FG% defense, holding Summit foes to 25.9 percent from deep. The Summit is one of the best 3-point shooting leagues and this year is no exception. The Coyotes are 60th in the nation for 3-pointers made, yet are they are sixth in the Summit. The Bison are one of five teams ahead of them in the nation's top-50 and NDSU's Hamling leads the league in 3-point percentage (.400).

Is there a flagrant 2 in WBB? That girl caught Hannah in the face with the left and then the right...

Coyotes up 3 at 1Q, up 11 at the half. NDSU with 12 turnovers at half.
Bison called for two unsportsmanlike fouls. First technical was BS, just Deaton celebrating after a block. Second was an intentional frustration foul, hands to the face on Sjerven after a hard pick.
I have to commend Collins for his demeanor in those situations. He knew the intentional foul was legit so he just moved on.

40-29 at half. This is a high scoring game by Yotes standards. Might give up 60.

Now up by 21 after 3Q, 65-44. Lots of fouls in this game. Backfiring on the Bison, if that was the strategy. 3 best on their bench.

Watson needs to work on drawing charges. She just doesn’t fall down. The ball carrier bounces off of her and hits the floor!

I checked and there is flagrant 2 foul in WBB. Is excessive force above shoulders. Given that NDSU player IMHO should have been ejected for the hit to Hannah's face that snapped her head back, it was intentional and the ball had left the area of the 2 players.

You can usually tell the teams where the coach prepped them for the Yotes with 'match their physicality', even though playing physical isn't their normal operations. They just don't know how to do it without fouling. And, in the case the the two-fists-to-the-head, they don't really know how to turn it off. Hanna had an off-night in general, but it is possible other coaches will view that as 'it worked, so.....'
