Speaking of banners. I wish we could find a better spot than the top rail for displaying them! I've thought about this before. You either get rid of one of the video boards or settle for what we've got. That low ceiling makes a very loud building, but ensures nothing can hang from the rafters. Remember, the original design had the court sunken, but the soils/ water table was a problem. So they brought the court up to ground level without raising the roof… So no extra space for banners or a central scoreboard. The lower ceiling creates an intimate setting, though. It’s tin-can loud.

I was under the impression that we were supposed to have our tickets emailed to us today (Thursday). So far ...nothing. I'd like to have them before I leave tomorrow morning. I was told when I ordered they would email them Friday or Saturday morning

A ticket update email was just sent out to everyone who purchased through the USD ticket office. We received our allotment of tickets from the INTRUST Bank Arena ticket office this evening. We will be sending these mobile tickets via email throughout the day tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in Wichita!

Is it general admission or assigned seating?

Thank you ticket office for your hard work this past week. I understand this is a Wichita decision to be general admission, but I appreciate your work to get as many fans together in sections. Going to be a great weekend.

Is it general admission or assigned seating? Lower bowl is general admission but you are assigned a section. Upper deck is all reserved seating. We have tickets in both the lower and upper deck.

I'm loving all the media coverage we're getting around the NCAA run. SF media is usually a big state love fest but they are really rallying around the team. Maybe this is the thing that will even out the coverage

So we get put in a section. Does that mean first come first serve That's what it sounds like. I haven't seen a GA sporting event outside of a student section or the youth levels before. I'm not sure if that's incompetence on the arena's behalf or an indictment of how popular this sport is. Obviously the university has no control on this situation, and tickets have been on sale for months. It seems none of the other visiting schools are causing a problem for the facility, and I'm not sure Baylor would have either. That's something to be proud of.

I hope that Yote fans getting seats in the upper bowl will come down to open seats in the lower bowl once the game starts. Basically similar to the SLT. Us midwesterners don’t like to break the rules, I know…

This is all the NCAA...not USD, not Wichita State, not Intrust Bank Arena...all NCAA decision. I would have thought have the inequity debacle last year they would have learned a lesson. There isn't a single game in the men's tournament that is GA. Apparently letting the Women's tournament utilize March Madness was supposed to be enough?

GA for the regional is pretty crazy. When we hosted the Women's regional here in Sioux Falls a few years ago it was all assigned seating...and it was a pretty full house. Of course the NCAA has never been back so.....that must mean we did it too well!

Autumn Johnson likes Indiana and South Dakota for upsets in her revised picks:
"Baylor got stunned in the second round to South Dakota, who is now in their first 16 appearance, and I love how the Coyotes are playing as of late. They have a trio of 5th-year seniors who are very dominant, poised, calm and collected, running and executing that offense. And then, Hannah Sjerven down low has been neutralizing the bigs. She has went up against the best, in NaLyssa Smith and Shakira Austin. If she can do that with Naz Hillman, I love the Coyotes to make the Elite 8."

Us midwesterners don’t like to break the rules, I know… I'm hearing our lower bowl allotment is 200 seats that will be dispersed by priority points. All remaining tickets sold through the University are in the upper deck. I hope I am proven wrong on this but if not I am certain there will be lots of fans in red looking for available seats in the lower areas.
