I don't know what this tweet is about, but I'll guess it's either a schedule thing or a recruiting thing. It's an excuse to start the non-con schedule thread, anyway. Those announcements are sporadic, so there's now a place to put them...
We should find out soon...

Never mind. It was an announcement about Lolo W. returning for next year. We already knew that, but I guess it might not have been formally announced.

yeah, we've known that ever since senior night last fall when she didn't participate in activities. And I'm guessing senior night this fall will tell us which seniors may come back as super seniors the following year. Tonight is the first spring exhibition match. I've heard of one yote dealing with the flu and possibly not playing. If so, next person in.......and a chance to show what you got. That's kind of what exhibitions are about anyway. See which people mesh together, which ones don't, and see who can step forward when needed.

well, hopefully the Yotes will be at full force for this weekends tournament in KC. The first weekend Weideman was out with the flu, and last weekend Juhnke was out with back issues. She did some passing, bumping and throwing in warm ups, just no jumping. Minnesota has some serious height ( 4 taller than our tallest at 6'7", 6'5", 6'4" and 6'4") and without Juhnke things went about as expected. But, lets be real, Minnesota is about a top 7 team. And this was an exhibition. I've got a list of the teams that are to be at Kansas city this weekend, but no idea who USD will play. All I've seen is play starts at 10 am Saturday. Arkansas, Kansas, Kansas City, K-State, Northern Iowa, Rockhurst, St. Louis and South Dakota round out the field. The good news is none of them will be as good as Minnesota. And If Elizabeth makes it back we should play better. I did see a few things I really liked last weekend. Schram's setting looks solid. plus she's got better height for netplay than Jurgens. Brynn's serving was a plus. kinda caught me off guard actually. And Sealock is a very quick and explosive player. Very fast with her kill move. Shes gonna be a very good player for the Yotes. I look for these players mentioned to fill in the shoes of Slaughter, Weeds, and Jurgs......with a little bit of gametime and repetitions. Back line defense looked tough. but....they were taking kill shots from a top 7 team. Plus Juhnke wasnt playing, so we were missing her offense AND defense.

Schram was my biggest worry, since we hadn't seen her much, and the Setter is so critical to our success on offense. Good to hear about the rest, as well! Hopefully we will improve in the backcourt.

I like that Creighton continues to schedule us, despite that upset a couple of seasons ago. I realize it's just exhibition, but I think that still shows a degree of respect for our program. Similar to Minnesota and Iowa State doing "secret" scrimmages with us in Women's Basketball. They want to challenge themselves against the best mid-majors. Beyond that, the Volleyball tournament is extremely geographically scheduled, so Minnesota, Creighton, Iowa, Iowa State and Nebraska have been frequent first-round opponents for the Summit League representative. Good for them to get some practice against a likely future opponent. I think we got Minnesota's attention last December, thus, they scheduled us in the Spring. Omaha and Denver have been able to schedule many of those same teams in the recent past, too.
