Yes, Burckhard is 2027. Sister of Peyton.

3 2027 offers, all SD kids. I wonder if Mike’s heavily involved in these recruitment efforts? My guess is yes.
Shots fired.

Are we recruiting any height? Seems like they are all guards.

Burckhard is already listed at 6-1, and just a Freshman. I'll assume she might add some height.

Are we recruiting any height? Seems like they are all guards. That far out they have several years to grow. Case in point: Sioux City North's Melina Snoozy. We were her first offer, a year ago when she was a 5-9 Guard in 8th grade. Now she is listed by Prep Girl Hoops as a 5-11 Small Forward, and the #1 player in the SD class. She now holds offers from SDSU and Colorado State, and is still a freshman. Altenburg is the #2 player in the SD class, and holds offers from USD, SDSU, Creighton, and Colorado State. 5-7 isn't that short for a point guard, and she could easily grow too. Plus sounds like she is a USD legacy player. Burckhard is the #3 player in the SD class, and we are her first offer. She is already 6-1 with room to grow. SDSU legacy Moore is from a good SD BB family. I think these are exactly the type of players we should be going after, and offering early. Well done!

Looks like she switched to Bishop Heelan HS in Sioux City, but probably still lives in SD, so still rated in SD's PrepGirls Hoops rankings.

Looks like she switched to Bishop Heelan HS in Sioux City, but probably still lives in SD, so still rated in SD's PrepGirls Hoops rankings. My bad, we offered her so long ago that I was thinking she was a soph by now. I see it in your post now. I will be surprised if Brinley doesn't finish as the #1 recruit in the class (I guess she probably is already now that Snoozy moved but even if she had stayed.) Although I will say, this will be Brinley's first year of varsity basketball as Jefferson doesn't allow 8th graders to play varsity. Maybe I won't be as impressed when I see that, but I was mighty impressed seeing her play against girls her age. She is good. I wonder what the chances of getting Burkhardt are if State does offer? It wouldn't be the first time we got the sister of a former Jack (although I don't know if State ever offered that one). Both of Burkhardt's parents went to Northern, so it's not like they have a long family history of SDSU. This probably is a good idea for USD to be getting these offers out to the top recruits early. AJ started this trend and it kind of paid off for him. I'm sure that's why you see us offering as early as we are now.
