Also, the 2023 SDSU game will most likely fall on D-Days!

The SDSU game on 10/28/23 will not be D-Days.
D-Days is almost always the first home game in October. The only reason it is on October 22 this year is that the Yotes have a bye on 10/1/22, play at SDSU on 10/8/22 & at Ill St on 10/15/22

The state game won't be on D Days unless our administration decides that the traditional date is moving. In my mind it is sacrilegious to have D Days as late as it is this year. Glad to see it should be back to normal the next couple years.

Illinois State, Missouri State, and UNI not on the schedule in 2023 and 2024. That actually sounds incredibly favorable for us. Missouri State is trending way up, UNI and Illinois State are always real tough.

UNI is the only school that feels like a rival outside the Dakotas. I will miss that part of not having them on the schedule, but we will still play them probably 8 out of every 10 years.

Pretty hard to think DDAYS won’t be Murray State.
These schedules are very favorable and I believe we should win at least 6 league games each year.

Quick perusal of the schedule showed a few interesting tidbits: UND is missing Mo State, Youngstown and Southern Illinois which I imagine might be the schools with the farthest travel distances for them, and the bunnies are missing Western Illinois, Indiana State and Murray, possibly three of the weaker teams lately. Interested in what their reaction to that is. Indiana State seems to be the big winner schedule-wise missing out on NDSU, SDSU and Mo State.

Interested in what their reaction to that is. Indiana State seems to be the big winner schedule-wise missing out on NDSU, SDSU and Mo State. For UND, those teams are about the farthest ones away, but the marginal travel time is negligible when they have to fly to each school outside of the Dakotas anyways. What's the difference between flying to Illinois State instead of Southern Illinois or Indiana State? 30 minutes or less? I think the scheduling is as fair as you can expect, outside of the protected rivalries. If state fans (or otherwise) have complaints then it's just being unreasonable. Anything we get they will get a relative mirror of afterwards - and vice versa. You can't predict who will be up or down years from now. It seems things are going to rotate as fairly as possible (outside protected rivalries). Of course the changing landscape can throw out all future schedules. I expect that in 1-2 years things the FCS will look much different than today. The one thing I'm certain of though, is that Indiana State will not make the most of any favorable scheduling.
