Has anyone been to a practice or heard how the team is looking at this point in training camp?

I listened to Herbster on the radio yesterday and it sounds like the team is farther along than they were at this point last year. Which I would expect given how young the team was last year. A couple things he mentioned specifically were how good we looked up front on both sides of the ball. He also talked about how hard hitting the team is this season.

Anyone have any other insight as our guys move into game prep next week? I was at yesterday's practice watching and it was the Carter Bell show with Carson Camp throwing some really nice balls. WOW, that's all I have to say! Does anyone else have any tidbits?

Nothing too crazy. Feels like it’s the most depth we’ve ever had. Hopefully that means the DL can keep reps down, a liberal rotation to keep guys fresh, and also keep guys from getting worn down and injured. Secondary sounds strong. Of all the groups with questions, WR group. But that’s a group that can contribute as a true freshman.

I just have this feeling that we have a very good football team. The way the schedule plays out, the record might not show it early. But this could be the most talented and deepest Coyote team in recent memory. For the first time in a long time, I think we have some real depth on the OL and some of those guys have a ton of experience. I can't wait.

I think we have a strong LB group. If the DL can eat up blocks that’ll free them up to get to the ball carrier. The secondary should be able to hold their own, so let’s get off the field & give the offense a chance to do their thing. Theis, Lawrence, and Mansaray can make stuff happen if the OL is as good as last year, and should be even better. For the first few weeks, special teams just needs to be error free. I’m talking directional punts OB to reduce chances of big returns. (Think last time at KSU. Do this and we probably win.)
