Here's one to mull over a bit... Let's say the 'Yotes go up to Fargo and notch another "w". Will that be enough to knock the bunnies off of the front page of the Argus sports section no matter how badly they get beaten by Nebraska?

No. Here's the headline: "Huskers Edge Jacks" with the subline Nebraska downs SDSU 63-3.
Meanwhile on page 5c, Coyotes Outlast Bison 34-28.

Yes, but if the Argus quits getting USD ads then that gives them more reason to stop doing as much for USD.
One thing to spin on here is that Jeremy Hoeck from the Yankton Press & Dakotan (www.yankton.net) and James Cimburek do a great job with the Yotes, more than anyone else.
The P&D also advertises with the university instead of the opposite way, so they are invested in the university. I would say read more and support the P&D more if you are sick of the Argus coverage of USD.
Make it known how much you like the P&D's coverage of USD. Comment on the stories. Comment on the blog Jeremy and the rest of the staff have. Comment on the videos. Get it going because they will never stop covering the Yotes hardcore, but the more support they get the more they can cover than what they do now.
Because of the support the P&D got from the Minny game, they are able to go to Fargo to cover the game there, so help them out and you will get even better Yote coverage from them!

I like the P&D but we are the State's University and the Argus is the State's newspaper. USD needs heavy coverage from the Argus and, to a lesser extent, the SC Journal. We need to voice our displeasure with the coverage by writing letters to the editor not boycotting the rag.

I am not saying boycott, I am saying support the P&D more as much as you would support the Argus. The more you support the P&D, the more it is going to push the Argus to give it better coverage honestly. I don't know what can happen for the SCJ to take notice, but it would also force them to cover USD as well if you write them.
Make sure the P&D gets love though since they actually cover the Yotes. I am sick of hearing about the Argus and nothing for the P&D when they actually cover USD better.

My thought on this is for USD to make itself impossible to ignore. I don't get as bent out of shape about this as others. If SDSU is drawing larger crowds, has fans who participate more often on the on-line Argus edition, and fields teams playing in higher profile games, why would the Argus provide equal coverage?
SDSU took the plunge first, which, in a lot of ways, sort of entitled them to more exposure. I know I was pretty damn interested. As USD establishes itself, I suspect things will even out. Let's talk after the football season. Going back to my original point, with all of the high profile teams coming into Vermillion, and especially if the Yotes can maintain their winning ways, USD will be difficult to ignore.
