It was a forgone conclusion that Myah Selland would win Player of the Year. I wonder if tho voting was even close?
That said, Grace accomplished something no one ever had. No one had ever finished in the top 5 in points, rebounds, assists, and steals. Grace blew that top five thing out of the water by finishing in the top 3 in each category. I believe the only category Selland was close in was scoring. Grace also had more blocked shots. Grace also is currently one of two in the country averaging 17.5 points, I believe 7.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. She has had one of the best overall years in Summit League history (and the best based on those four combined categories). The main areas where Myah surpassed Grace was in shooting percentage (overall and three-point) and team success.
I am not saying Grace should have won, but she certainly could have won depending on what the voters were looking at. Just saying, she had a great overall year.
