Just getting the thread started... I guess I'd call this a must-win?
Predictions: Yotes win 71-58 (-13) Massey Yotes win 71-62 (-9) Warren Nolan

Yup, losing this one would hurt bad. Time to put it in gear.

A loss would hurt our pride the most. I’m not saying I want us to lose but we’re in a position where we either have to get the 2,3 or 6 seed to avoid playing SDSU in the tourney until the title game.
Is it a must win? They’re all must wins. At this point does a win do much for us is the real question. What we need to do is start conserving players as much as we can (I know that’s hard given the circumstances) as we approach the tournament. Time for other players to start stepping up and showing up to the game. Going to be hard to win a game or two in the tourney if Grace is out of gas by the time it gets here.

If we end up playing SDS, I would rather play them in the semi's than the finals.

From the Monday YoteCast interview with Coach Karius:
On Elena Pilakuda: ...Right now she's 8th in the country with her field-goal percentage. In conference play she's shooting 66%, in part because she's not leaving the paint much. 6'-3", big body, ... actually her footwork and her hands have really improved. She's been a problem for a lot of people. The way we guard her is different than a lot of other opponents. She's pretty crafty; when you think you can just run a double-team at her, she actually passes really well out of that, too.
On the previous game with Omaha: ...That was a breakout game for Carley Duffney. When Walker subbed out of the game, you've got Pilakuta trying to match up with her on the perimeter, and Carley was stepping out and hitting 3s, she was driving around her and scoring, she had 17 points in the game.... people started to take notice (of her). I don't think Carley had her best game this last Saturday, so I think she's ready and due for another one...
On Omaha: ... They're playing really well. They've won 4 of their last 5 games.

I know we are up 11 at half but- Help me understand the plan offensively.

I know we are up 11 at half but- Help me understand the plan offensively. We have no interior game at all, currently, and can only try and find shots from the arc or beyond. Also why we have no O boards… no one is in the paint. Hopefully next year will be better.

It sure seems like the team struggles with the slower pace of play - often don't even get shots off. But the slow pace seems to really take NAA out of any flow. Her stretch in the 3rd quarter (quick defense to offense transition) looks to be her more comfortable style/pace. She disappears with the slower half-court, plodding approach.

If you told me Larkins and Duffney would be 3-14 combined and you’d be up 20 I wouldn’t have believed it. Good team effort.

A couple of highlight stats:
NAA had 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks and four steals! Solid performance from her.
both Larkins and Demers were one rebound away from a double-double.
Larkins had a tough time with turnovers, but still stole the ball 6 times.
Guebert was 3-for-3 from the arc
Omaha's Pilakuda only had 2 points and 4 rebounds!
Omaha shot 25.5% FG and 20% 3P!
Omaha turned the ball over 20 times
Coyotes had 29 points off of turnovers vs 14 for Omaha
