Some kind of mid-range finisher and ironing out of the long range shot (aesthetically, her jumper makes me borderline angry which is irrational, but that’s just me) and she’s golden. It looks like she is pushing a little with her guide hand. I noticed that in her recruiting videos too. Not sure that’s fixable at this point (or if you would even want to mess with it). She hits her shots, so…

I watched the game last night and had to kind of laugh... The ORU announcer on the live stream brought up during the early part of the game the fact the Yotes had beaten ORU 18 straight times and also the score of the last game and seemed resigned to the fact the Yotes were winning this game. Now, he turned out to be right, but the fact he mentioned it probably means we were in some people's heads before the game started.
I liked the fact that Cassidy C. is starting to rev up on the offensive end, she hasn't really been looking for her shot much during the year, but it would take some pressure off some of the others.
Different Note... Earlier in the post someone mention Grace driving into a triple-team, watching the game it almost appeared she was doing some of it on purpose to free up some outside shooters. I would have to agree she needs to stop a step or to sooner to allow for a better passing lane.
As the team is progressing throughout the year, I am seeing the coaching staff mature and learn what to do with the team they have as well. Go Yotes!!!

I totally agree that a complete overhaul and "fix" of that jumper is not something that is realistic at this point, hence the irrational anger about it.

I see growth and progression towards the positive in our women, however along with that comes inconsistency. I do see positive momentum here and some things to look forward to next season. I do not see that as much with our men's team. They seem to be headed in different directions at this point of the season.

I agree that Larkins had some areas to improve upon. I would think that is to be expected for a sophomore in her first year as a starter. She's going to continue to get better. She leads the team in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. I'd hate to see where this team would be without her.
I do think next year's team has a chance to be significantly better. Players like Larkins, Duffney, Hanson, Demers, etc should all be better with a year under their belts. Add in some players coming back from injury such as Grange and this team should be better. The incoming class looks promising as well. You can basically include Bergstrom with that group, as she will be a redshirt freshman with the benefit of being around the system for a year.
One thing that's notable for this team is there's a lot of times they are intentionally slowing the pace just out of necessity with such a thin bench. Next year they should be able (hopefully) to get out and run a bit more, which in my mind plays into the strength of players like Larkins and Duffney.
With hard work and development, there's a lot to look forward to.
Would be nice if Demers could learn to stay out of foul trouble. Sometimes she picks up cheap ones because she's just so damn strong and physical. When she's jockeying for position like every other post player, she tends to move people and draw the attention of the officials. But she also picks up some dumb ones. That should improve with time and experience.

Demers is going to be a problem for a lot of teams in the Summit next year. It's easy to forget that she should be a senior in high school.

That should improve with time and experience. I had to laugh at this because it reminded me of Watson last year. She was so strong (and athletic/ balanced) that she rarely fell down after contact. Apparently nobody had taught her to "sell" contact. I remember times when offensive players would essentially "bounce" off of her, and she was left standing with a foul like: "did you just punch me in the face, Brad?" I'm not saying we need to teach Demers to flop, of course, but there is a subtle dance to jousting in the paint. Very similar to linemen avoiding holding calls in football IMO. Experienced players are just better at it.
