A win here sets up some good momentum for the SLT. This game is a toss-up imo but I think we can squeak a win out if we play smart.

Larkins is remarkably physically dominant for a 5-9 guard. I don’t know how many kids I’ve ever seen that just seem to decide they’re going somewhere to get a bucket or ball and just DO IT almost all the time.

Duffney had a really good game too and Carson is coming on. Hanson nailed some 3s.
Overall good D till last 5 minutes.

she had 12 rebounds. Team played well more balanced scoring as we made shots that they gave us

I agree that Grace has a lot of talent, and a lot of upside. Her decision making has gotten somewhat better this year. However, she needs to be smarter, she cannot keep driving into triple coverage. At what point does she finally realize that she’s causing too many turnovers, that with three defenders on her, there have to be open shooters on the outside. She needs to pull up two steps sooner.

I agree on all counts. I always thought Madison McKeever was excellent at driving the lane and passing it back outside. Grace (and the team) would benefit by developing that part of her game, or by perfecting the deadly short-range/mid-range jumper like Liv Korngable did.

Oh I don’t disagree that there are some definite areas that Larkins can, should and very probably will improve upon.
I’m just saying, when she goes … she freaking GOES.

If she develops a floater or running push shot in the lane, she will be impossible to stop for Summit League teams.

Some kind of mid-range finisher and ironing out of the long range shot (aesthetically, her jumper makes me borderline angry which is irrational, but that’s just me) and she’s golden.

The pullup jumper from midrange really seems to be somewhat of a lost art anymore.
