You should have put it in all-caps. It looks like we had no idea that this is what they wanted to do. In Kayla's defense we are limited by our lack of depth of ball-handlers. We have exactly 1 player who is capable of dribbling against a press. We looked like deer in the headlights the entire half. Tough to watch. I'm not sure what you do as a coach. Reiterate for your players to run to the ball? We stood flat footed waiting for the ball to come and that had to have resulted in 8-10 turnovers in the first half. |

And just like that our run is over and we're playing loose again. It's going to be really hard to come back. I don't think we're built for it, especially if they keep up the pressure.

Well they finally broke the press a few times. Unfortunately, that's the only offense to speak of. I can probably count on one hand how many baskets they've scored in the half court

Completely out-coached and out played today, by a wide margin. But, ff it's any consolation, we don't have to take an epic tournament beatdown tomorrow against the Jacks.
You say an experienced tournament coach against a rookie today. It was obvious.

This season will have repercussions for years to come. Rebuilding is one thing, but this was a major step backwards. Local recruiting will be affected by this. Even when state had a slight edge, the Yotes always had a fighting chance in the SLT. It's not close anymore.

That game was honestly a good representation of this season. Slow start, picked up toward the middle and then collapsed. I hope we made the right decisions with this staff because I’m looking at ORUs new one and they’re gonna be a force soon.
