Today the University of South Dakota is hosting its Coyote Pro Day. 21 NFL scouts are on campus to evaluate the young men on our roster. The previous high we’ve ever had I understand was 7.
This is fantastic PR for our program. Recruits like seeing it and current players are grateful someone cares enough to make it happen. Here’s hoping we’ll see a story, photos and film clips from todays event. This kind of successful day warrants coverage and hype.

My understanding is Dalton Godfrey had a great day. Long snappers rarely, if ever, get drafted, but expectations are high he’ll be invited to a camp or two.
Dalton was a FANTASTIC leader on last years team.

There are probably lots of guys who can snap accurately, but it's what Dalton does after he snaps that makes him stand out such as making tackles and downing punts.

He had at least a few plays over the years that stood out. I want to say in 2019 he forced a fumble on a punt against state. He truly was an impact player on special teams even though his job expectation was probably just to snap the ball accurately and nothing more. He deserves a shot at the next level. |

That and the speed of the snap. Very few as fast as him
