Tonight at 7PM. Waldorf U is in Forest City, IA (north central Iowa), is a small ELCA Lutheran private school, and plays in NAIA in the North Star Athletic Assoc. They are perennially one of the worst teams in that conference, and are currently 2-5, including a 55-113 loss to D-II Minnesota State(Mankato).
predictions:
Yotes win 94-52 (Massey)
Not sure what else to say about this game...

I would assume this was a late add to the schedule because of Western Illinois leaving the Summit League. Should be a nice and easy win that will allow the bench to play lots of minutes.

Pregame from Coach Pete: still don't know about Stewart, then at the end he said it would be at least a month, maybe more.

Now it's off 5 seconds!
Kinda like the Coyote D. Giving up way too many points!! They've made 13 3s...

Both teams put up 72 shots for 144 total which comes to one shot every 16.7 seconds. That doesn't even take into account attempts where the shooter was fouled. Gonna be a lot of points scored. 'Yotes pulled down 55 rebounds...wonder where that ranks all time? Fun game to watch if you're into run and gun hoops.

I don't know where 55 ranks, but the all-time record is 85 in a 101-50 win over Midwestern College in the 1968-69 season. Midwestern (Denison, IA) only existed from 1965-70, so they weren't a BB powerhouse. When 151 pts. are scored and one team snares 85 boards, you know a lot of shots were launched!

It looked a lot like a pickup game in the dome underneath the weight room. Zero defense, 1 pass then shoot.

Per Peterson at Lunch with the U event...imaging on Stewart's knee came back clean, nothing torn. But still a ton of swelling so he will be out a while, but at least there's some confidence that he will return. I'm not a doctor but sometimes when you see a player hyperextend their knee it can result in a bone bruise. So they will have to continue with their assessment, but it appears the worst-case scenario has been avoided.
Branch is indeed redshirting. Things are still up in the air with Eberwein. He was unavailable in scrimmages due to injury, but they may consider lifting redshirt. Some of that may depend on Stewart's health.
