Well it didn't go well but a good season. Talking to Bison fans they said they had 32 seniors we have 6 so we have some young players

Disappointing end to an amazing season. Congratulations to the Bison. No one is touching that team when they play like that. Well deserved.
I had a bad feeling early on that our inability to stop the big plays on 3rd down was going to make for a long day. We never found our groove or played to our strengths and it was downhill from there, but not because of a lack of effort on our teams part.
No moral victories ever, but I am encouraged by the progress this year. Hosting two playoff games and earning a seed is a step in the right direction. Very proud of the players and thankful for the contributions that the seniors made to this program. I know this one burns, however, we need to embrace how addictive winning can be. Look at how our fans have supported this team this year, compared to previous years, and the difference it made. Keep recruiting your friends to go games and get involved and we will be rewarded as this team continues to grow.

You guys know the roster better than I. I’d imagine there is reason for optimism next year? If you still have a program, check out the seniors listed for NDSU 32 and for USD 6. Go to game notes and look at the two deeps and compare. NDSU is older, more experienced and has been through the wars before. Toss in the fact that it's very tough to beat a good team twice and I wasn't too optimistic going in. And no, our win in Fargo was no fluke. We just plain beat them and deserved that win. Something is starting to be built here, but it takes more than one season. It took SDSU almost a decade to get where they are, but gradually they kept raising the bar. This season was a great first step for the 'Yotes and a lot of fun to watch. Next season should be step number two. With the youth of this team, I'm bullish on the future. |

I'm still pissed. Picked a bad day to play our worst game of the season. I don't want to take anything away from the effort and heart this team played with. They have defied all the polls, all the media, all the general bullshit from around the league saying they weren't good enough. They were a contender regardless of what anybody says. Today just sucked. We had some bad breaks, some questionable scheme choices, and drew a really tough opponent. Honestly, if MSU could kick, I don't think I'd be cancelling my flight to Missoula. ($384 round trip out of Omaha last Sunday, so I went ahead and grabbed it). At the beginning of the season, I said that success this year, for me, would be to win a playoff game. That was my benchmark to prove this program is headed in the right direction. Well, we did that and then some.
Now for the love of God somebody beat state.

I agree 100%, keep this team together and make sure those that can come back, do come back. You can only play football for so long and then it’s on to the real world. No hurry! We will moose a few that think they should have played, but hopefully all those that were major contributors stay. There’s some very special guys on this team and I’m already excited to see their progress for another run at it next fall. |

Either we just stunk last week or NDSU played their game of the year, I'm just not sure. Bison have come back to Earth this week and are down 7 in the 4th at Montana.

I think the moment was too big for us, uncharted waters. Now that we've been there we know what it's like and can work to get over that hump. It takes time.

Craig Haley had a tweet this week - Division 1 FCS football is more about programs than teams. Programs rise to the occasion. The game today was a head on collision between two powerhouses. Last score won. The final should be a doosey. Congrats to both teams. |

I would have liked to have played the NDSU team that showed up against Montana - dropped passes, overthrown balls, dumb play calls. For one day they were perfect - it just happened to be against the Yotes.
