Yotes up 25-15 after 1Q
Shooting 75%
Still need to tighten up defense and rebounding though.

State was behind but played a great last quarter to win And a double overtime with out Brooklyn Meyer. As for the Yotes we need to take care of the turnover problem. It was 20-8. I can’t figure out the issue with our defense. Not sure if we don’t communicate, switch too much, or help to deep to recover??

If you can’t stop dribble penetration you’re going to give up open 3s. And there just aren’t much in the way of stoppers on this squad.

Good teams take care of the ball and play defense. We do neither.

Sure could use some of Kyah Watson's lockdown defense from a couple of years ago.

Not only lacking in stoppers, but there are simply quite a few below average defenders on this squad. True. And no eraser behind them. Having a Hannah Sjerven or Jodie Boss behind you makes everybody at least a little bit better defender. The bigs on this team don't block shots or corral pick and roll ball handlers all that well. Combine that with occasional mental lapses and/or physical limitations of your perimeter players and you will have some bad nights on that end.
