There's a disconnect between what this team is and what some fans want it to be.
The team continues to play hard. It has executed frequently in high-pressure, late-game situations, which are not generally hallmarks of poorly coached teams.
Maybe, just maybe, they're a 13-7, 12-8, 11-9 type of team. I'm not really sure where the wins on this schedule are that HAVEN'T happened. I know I've seen one or two wins that probably should have been losses.

No close loses on the schedule that should have been wins. Luckily we were coached up enough to win tight ones vs 8-10 Loyola, 6-11 UT Martin, 4-15 Omaha, and the Minneapolis Miracle vs 11-8 St. Thomas.

I think the honest assessment here is that if this team really had a coaching problem, it'd be sub .500.

Big difference between adequate and exceptional. Right now she is the former. What's important is where her ceiling is as a coach. I beat her up some in these forums but I'll be the first to say I have no idea what her ceiling is. Unfortunately for her she can only be compared to our last few coaches who were truly special. Unfair in some ways but it also indicates we don't have to settle.

As my high school coach often tells me, "It's incredible how much better a coach I am when I've got a couple All-Staters on my team."
