Feels like it's been a long time since we've played and I'm needing some Yotes sports conversation, so I'll start a game thread. Is this the game we get back on track? Not that I would pay any attention to what goes on at state, but I thought I saw St. Thomas gave them a good game the other night. It'd be nice to get a win before state comes to town on Saturday.

St Thomas is probably the best team in the conference already, despite still being years away from postseason eligibility. It would be a giant win if we can take this one.

It sure would be nice to see this team come together a bit. It's been a rocky road but I do thing we have some things (improved size and athleticism) which could work in our favor if we start playing more consistent team basketball. Seems like they have a stretch or two every game of playing truly bad basketball.
I have to say I was surprised by the defensive numbers posted by Jay Elsen. I haven't been very impressed with this team from a defensive standpoint. But maybe there just aren't many teams in the Summit League playing good defense. Heck, State just gave up 99 points to Denver the other night.

Needed that one bad. Good win boys. I was thinking during the OT period that regardless of the outcome, at least this game was fun to watch and the team had some fight in them. Really happy to see Thiune get aggressive inside. Now let's carry that momentum into the weekend.

Things I liked. More minutes from Hill who has size, is offensive minded, and has pure stroke from 3. Burchill more aggressive from 3 and focusing on what he can do. Don’t need him trying to finish at the rim which he hasn’t shown he can do. Just be aggressive with the open three when it’s there. St. Thomas had brain freeze up 4 with the ball in OT and not getting a shot off. Luckily we took advantage. Don’t know if they will shoot that poorly against us in the future. So nice to see a win and without Stewart which was unexpected.

Excellent win. St. Thomas is a solid team and the Yotes had to battle hard to claw their way back in this one. Then they found a way to win without one of their top players (Stewart out with an illness). Love it. GO YOTES!

Also Jevon Hill did some really nice things tonight. Great to see a young guy like that step up and take advantage of an opportunity.

That was a good win - I hope it translates into some confidence.
Hard to believe none of St. Thomas' shots fell on the last possession, but we will take it.

Great win by our men! And without our best player (Stewart)! St Thomas is one of the top teams in the conference and to beat them short handed is a very big win!
Side note...Jevon Hill might be my new favorite player. His length and size will cause matchup problems for teams. He played great down the stretch last night!
Go Yotes!
