Nice comeback with a strong 4Q and some assiatance from a tardy clock operator. 🤣 The “tardy clock operator” actually put them in that position. There should’ve been more than .4 seconds left, when the time out was called. It worked both ways.

Sure, I thought they appeared to call time out before that, and I know they reviewed the clock. My guess is they didn't have a good shot of Kayla calling the time out to sync up with the clock?

Here we are, well into the conference part of the season and I'm still trying to figure out this team. Am I the only one? We played three quarters that look as disjointed as we ever have, and then come out in the fourth and pull off a miracle win. What's perplexing to me is that this is not the first time that we've done that this season. On one hand, I'm incredibly proud and impressed with they way they grit out a win like this, but on the other, I wonder why we find ourselves having to do this over and over again.

Props to Mike Jewett on the buzzer beater inbounds play

looks like we committed 17 Turnovers to their 9 (-8) -----Grace had 6
we dished out 18 assists to their 12 (+6) -----Duffney/Larkins led with 5/4
we out-rebounded them 43-26 (+17) (including 15 O-boards) -----team effort led by Mazurek/Demers/Larkins/DePerry 7/6/6/5
Holmes seems to have found her stoke from the arc, shooting 5-of-8, and led with 19 points.
Mazurek in double-figures with 11 points
Larkins had 3 steals
NAA had 3 blocks
Shooting efficiency was actually very similar between the two teams.

Props to Mike Jewett on the buzzer beater inbounds play I believe he also drew up the post play that Natalie scored on a couple plays before. It’s great having his experience on the bench. Outside of the fourth quarter this game was hard to watch. Both teams looked uninspired. We play soft and with no urgency. Hopefully we can use that fourth quarter to get us going. But I’m afraid Saturday could get ugly. (More reverse psychology) but I dont think we have an answer for Meyer and Meyer. My hope is that these girls want to beat the rabbits as bad as I do.

This team has fooled me before, they won't fool me with one quarter here. All of the same problems still exist, and I hope I'm wrong, but I think we'll see AJ expose them and run us out of the building again this weekend. Athleticism, defensive consistency, and turnovers are the weak elements for the Yotes. If we can't shore that up, we'll be just over .500 in the league and exit early from the Denny again this March. I still have hope, but we've got to start showing more than just flashes.

Seems like maybe they're starting to settle in on the fact that Larkins, NAA, Holmes, Duffney and Mazurek is the best five?

Seems like maybe they're starting to settle in on the fact that Larkins, NAA, Holmes, Duffney and Mazurek is the best five? I think so, even though Demers did contribute a fair amount in her 15 minutes. For Mazurek, early on this season I had to keep reminding myself that she went about 21 months without playing a true game. But she is playing with confidence. She lacks athleticism but is skilled. I have a hunch the staff is going to Duffney more in hoping that she will finally start playing confidently. She has the ability to create which is something that is lacking on this roster. She was good offensively in that run last night.

I keep wanting Demers to come around but every time I watch her it seems like she's doing what she's doing at the :10 mark of the condensed game video above. And I really don't mean to be overly critical of her. But in the first 1:15 of that video she makes three below-average to outright poor defensive plays and then throws a cross-court pass that would get picked off in a sixth-grade game.
