Barely beat 2 teams with 4 win records. As long as these coaches stay here that's about all they are going to beat.

fanatic you better recheck your info. KC has 10 wins not 4 so you were only off by 6!
Hopefully your bb coaching is better.

Big crowd at the game almost like a state game as USD had Native American day. They do a nice job as everyone enjoyed it. I was surprised at how many Native American Athletes we have. We had a few celebrities as Chris Nilsen was back for the track meet, Mandy Koupal visited the team and of course Billy Mills. Talking to some Kansas City parents after the game they were impressed with the day and said that this was the best they played because they dont play in front of very big crowds as even the students were there. I thought the girls played a solid game.

I was a student at USD before we had women's basketball, I spent four years going to men's games (never missed one) in the New Armory so that gives you an idea of how old I am. I have closely followed the Coyote women since the Chad Lavin era. I was at the DII championship game, the last four games of the NIT run, and have seen every game the women (and men) have ever played at the Summit League tournament and have my ticket for this year. For the first time this season I made the four hour round trip to Vermillion yesterday to watch the women play in person, I have seen some other games, including the SDSU and Denver games on TV. With that said and for anybody who wants to read all this here are some thoughts, observations, and opinions. -We are an inconsistent offensive team and not a very good defensive one and I don't see that changing. -It can be done but finishing .500 in the conference and winning a game in the conference tournament will be a challenge. -If we are going to get back to the top of the conference and competing with SDSU (and maybe some others) for conference championships and be competitive, should we ever reach the NCAA tournament again we need an upgrade in talent/personnel. We need to improve our overall team quickness and athleticism. We need a true point guard, as good as Grace is and she was really good yesterday she does not have a point guard's mentality. We need someone who thinks like a point guard. We need a post with some length who can jump and go get a rebound out of her area (a wing with those same attributes would also be nice). Our two posts combined for one basket in the paint yesterday, a low post presence is badly needed. -We are 22 games into the season and almost halfway through the conference and are still searching for the best combination/rotation. As I watched yesterday, I spent the entire game trying to figure out what five should be on the floor at that point in the game. I don't have the answer and given the individual strengths and weaknesses of our individual players I don't know if there is one. Unless you play a very fast paced offensive style with a pressing defense, I've always thought a seven (sometimes eight) player rotation works best. Playing nine, especially when you only have 41 field goal attempts like we did yesterday, can be difficult. -It looks to me like we have a group/team of nice young ladies who seem to get along and support each other. BUT, we don't have anyone with that bit of extra fire, toughness and competitiveness who has that "refuse to lose" attitude that inspires and motivates others. As a team we just aren't tough and gritty enough. -With all that said I will be making the trip again next Saturday for the State game. Go Yotes!!

Fanatic, maybe figure out how to post on this site so you don't keep shooting blanks. It's not that difficult but quite possibly a metaphor for your life.
