We don’t generate easy looks in the halfcourt. We either hit 3’s and can win or we don’t and can lose to anyone.

We gotta take care of St Thomas or we run the real possibility of sliding into 6th. Which come the tourney I don’t think matters a ton anymore but for prides sake is not a warm feeling we should have to endure.

At the game talking to fans around me we all agree we are slow Omaha looked fast as we could not keep up on defense. Had some players who played a lot of minutes and didn't do much. Next year we need to get more athletic. I agree with this, but again the problem is that the bulk of this team is coming back. They are adding length with their two freshmen, but one is coming off an ACL tear and, well, they are freshmen. They have an additional spot now that NAA isn't coming back, so maybe they can do something there. But other than Larkins (and to an extent, NAA), they are not long or athletic. They are skilled, but not athletic.

Plus while we wallow in the aftermath of tonight's game, UND is just bad.

KC should be a gimme but UST nor any of the others will be. We could go 2-2 to finish before UND or lose all 4.

Yeah, lots of contributions. After a maddening number of times getting beat by Hill and Scalia to their right hand early, they did a much better job of defending the dribble and knowing when and how to help in the 2nd half. NAA was a complete pest defensively. And Grace was in command at the offensive end in the 2nd half.

Thought I'd highlight this play. I talk about the lack of athleticism on this team, but Duffney is pretty athletic.
When the Coyotes get the rebound she is the farthest away from the basket (after a nice defensive play). She beats every other player down the floor for a layup.

The 2nd half the Lady Yotes played very good D. Stopped most dribble drives and switched quickly!
They also had a lot more movement and aggressiveness on O!
Like night and day from previous game.
Keep fighting!!!

Duffney is athletic in a straight line like the track athlete she was. That doesn't always translate in basketball where lateral short area quickness is more important. We just don't have a ton of it on the roster. We have a bunch of what i would call heavy footed players.

I don't really disagree...just trying to point out something positive, including her effort.

Good night to have a good night. Well at least better than Thursday night as we had numerous recruits at the game.

One of the benefits of this Lady Yotes team is a deep bench!
Out scored the Tommies 26 to 4!!!

I was at the St Thomas game. Even in the first half I thought they played better than against Omaha. But then again, they were shooting better. In the second half, they played great D for the most part. They looked like they knew what they were doing. I have always wondered when the D is bad whether it is due to a certain combination on the court? But it usually looks more like it doesn’t matter. We continue to turn the ball over at an alarming rate, and it seems like half of them are on attempted passes into a post. Either the ball gets there late and is stolen, the pass is too high and goes out of bounds, the pass is not reachable and stolen, the pass does not have enough zip when needed and is stolen, or the wrong kind of pass is made for the situation. Maybe it is the angle of the pass, meaning the window is so small a perfect pass is required? Sometimes they try to force the ball where there is no window. They need to work on that.
Also, the pink uniforms looked great.
The game was on TV last night. The announcers were constantly praising Nicole’s and Olivia’s defense
