That's a surprising transfer, as she had committed to Coach P at WVU in August of her senior year, and followed her to Minnesota. Had a great year, too. At the time of her commitment, she had offers from three other D-1 schools, including Wisconsin and DePaul. Great player. |

Even before last night, I was beginning to wonder if Kayla's tweet about the new player was in fact just a reaction to Cossette officially signing. Now I really wonder if that's what it was, or if a new player committed and they told her to wait. We may never know.

If it’s a new player for a future year, as in a high school junior or lower, she cannot comment. NCAA regulations state that schools are not allowed to officially say anything until the player signs their NLI during their senior year.

Yes, understand that. That would be the same for a portal player until they sign. But Kayla gave the bat signal tweet to indicate a new verbal commitment.
We were assuming it was a portal player due to timing, but, as you previously said, perhaps she was just reacting to Cossette making it official.

Well, if it ends up having been a portal player with cold feet, …. The next coach will have a roster spot to make their own mark with. Trying to see the silver lining….

She never got on the floor it was hard to judge what kind of player she is. I dont why they didn't red shirt her. I wish her good luck

Before her 2 knee surgeries...D1 talent. After her 2nd knee surgery...DWU talent. We did the honorable thing by honoring her scholarship after Dawn left, but she is now where she will be successful. I wish her nothing but good luck.

I was told they never discussed it with her. Thanks. I'm surprised. That would have been the first thing I addressed with her. There was never a more obvious candidate. With a lot of these kids, they come into school already as a sophomore academically, so I understand if they don't want to. |

Any news on Bergstrom? Has she found a team?
Was Broughton in the portal? First I heard she was leaving was when the DWU announcement came out. Is there a way that happens without the portal?
Today on this board I first heard Holmes wasn't coming back. When did this happen?
