It is good we have the early trip to Italy this fall. Hopefully that will help the team gel early. It paid off for Craig in his 3rd year.

I believe we are full now from a scholarship perspective. Looking at the depth chart, I am projecting the following:
PG: Chase Forte/Shey Eberwein/Steve Kramer SG: Kaleb Stewart/Isaac Bruns/Evan Anderson SF: Quandre Bullock/Max Burchill/Paul Bruns/Porter Ihnen PF: Ashton Smith/Jevon Hill/Jake Brack C: Mayuom Buom/Cameron Fens
Of course, there is some fluidity in there. The traditional position tags don't really translate anymore and very depending on the opponent.
I *think* Shey is a PG, but could see him more as a 2. Likewise, Stewart could bring up the ball if necessary. Max is a perfect 6th man, bringing energy and defense. Forte is athletic as heck, so having a guy that can lock down the other team's best guard and also be able to distribute will be huge. We shouldn't be short on rim protection and shot blocking with Ashton, Buom and Fens.
Again, we will have loads of capable shooters with Stewart, Bruns x2, Bullock and Hill.
We have to be close to the tallest team in the Summit League now.

And here is the commitment. With all the travelling around from college to college that he's done, does he have more than 1 year of eligibility left? It said he was a junior last year, but I can't tell if he has an extra year to play with or not.

I think Smith is probably a true 5. I would guess they'd play a bit small at least part of the time.

Probably something closer to the following: PG: Chase Forte/Shey Eberwein OR Steve Kramer SG: Kaleb Stewart/Isaac Bruns/Evan Anderson SF: Quandre Bullock OR Paul Bruns/Porter Ihnen PF: Jevon Hill OR Max Burchill OR Jake Brack C: Mayuom Buom OR Ashton Smith OR Cameron Fens

And that is still leaving off Kokal and Hayes, two walk-ons. Anderson from this class is considered a walk-on, and it would appear Max is still a walk-on. That's 17 total players, and that's a lot. I would naturally think they would lose a guy or two, but the portal is closed. Interesting.

I talked to Pete this morning and roster is full. He will be announcing his 2 new staff members soon.

My speculation was correct...there is one player who went into the portal at the wire. Steven Kramer, who probably saw the writing on the wall when it came to potential playing time next season.

Best of luck to him. His minutes dramatically decreased over the course of the season and our recent additions don’t bode well for him. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

I'm not sure any of the guys currently in the portal will end up on a D1 roster.

Really excited about this team next year. These portal additions seem like great pickups! I think we'll be one of the more athletic teams in the league! Should be a fun team to watch!

With kraemer gone we still have room for one more scholarship right? Yes, but I've heard that they consider their roster set. My guess is that Max will get the last scholarship.
