Great Intro presser!  Not a lot of our (those of us following along with the progress of the hire/ recruits/ staffing) current questions answered, but it was cool to hear from Coach E.

Sounds like they will still take some time on staffing decisions, but no specifics given.

In lieu of a no-holds barred press Q and A session, she got a major softball session with Jay... it was still an enjoyable interview (as always with Jay).

Good job by our new coach said she has a good visit with all the players and new recruits. She said she been to games up here and recruited Dawn P daughter and was always impressed with coyote basketball so this is a dream job. She started out in NAIA then moved to division 2. Last year she at division1. She impressed by how many staff she gets. No hurry to hire asst coaches as she wants to get it right. plans on recruiting in SD and the area where there is talent. One thing our AD said was our program is rated in the top 60 in the country because od wins, crowd size and how well we pay our coaches

Got recommendations from Amy and Dawn which is impressive! Sure we all liked her answer to what her team would look like--attention to detail, defense and would be molded to the skills of her players!

Sorry, not trying to be difficult, but I am trying to understand expectations for a new hire press conference.

“No holds barred” was a bit of hyperbole, of course.

But, yes. Members of the press were allowed to have a Q & A at the end of Coach K’s and Coach Pete’s introduction pressers, if memory serves. An interview with Jay, as entertaining as it is, is definitely what I would call a “softball” in terms of hard-hitting questions.

It’s fine. I will just have to wait and see what happens with the assistants and on the recruiting end. I’m just impatient.

Members of the press had the ability for individual interviews after the press conference, like in other hirings. I'm sure you'll see some of that coming out today and subsequent days.

Just watched the press conference. Feel very positive about this hire. Talks like she has a plan and knows how to execute from day 1. Feels like we are going to be in for a good run here.
