20 to 25 million to finish the Dome. Indoor track 25 to 40 million all private funds . Hope our AD can get it done . He said the fieldhouse will have room for the military and tennis courts 2,000 seats and it could be used by our track team, and for Olympic training . We are thinking big Our new AD was saying this? Also, Matt Zimmer released an article about our plans for upgrades yesterday does anyone have access? The article on Sioux Falls Live was the same Mitchell Republic article I initially discussed above. The article was written by Jacob Nielson, the same Republic sports writer that covered USD football last season. Both SF Live & the Mitchell Republic are part of the Forum Communications group. For some reason, Forum Comm assigns a sportswriter out of Mitchell to cover USD, rather than adding a person in Sioux Falls. Matt Zimmer provides little to no coverage of USD and most USD articles that show up on SF LIve originate from the Republic.

I’d like to see the dome a football only facility and get a dedicated field house for the track and Olympic sports. It’s encouraging that that’s a 5 year plan, so maybe there’s something in the works that we don’t know about. I’m curious where this field house would go though.
A few of the improvements I’d like seen are more environment/fan related. I’d love to see the inside of the dome get a needed upgrade now that the west side is done. More video boards or banners and just modernize it and make it more exciting. Mainly get rid of and replace the nasty black curtains on the walls that have seen better days.

What’s behind the curtains is even worse. I agree that it would be great to modernize the dome though. I’m just not sure where that would fit in my order of priorities.

Would have to take out that field (used for rugby?) next to the football practice field. Seems like the right spot if we are actually going to put up another building. Otherwise you have to cross the highway or something.

The old golf course needs work its become too rough to run on I would think they could do some work on that it would not cost a lot. Maybe make a couple fields over there for rugby and student intramural sports. behind the WH Over would be nice . When I drive by I like the Soccer Fields, the out door track and the practice football field . Add a field house there it add to the U. I had people from out of state say how nice it looks. Maybe we will find out today with the big announcement

Anything across the highway would need a pedestrian overpass similar to what Iowa State has. That would cost money, but would be pretty awesome!

Could relocate the 3 city softball fields that adjoin the USD softball field. Not only would it provide space for an indoor T&F facility, but would also allow space for improving seating and press box for softball field.
