Jay Elsen will once again be back to provide play by play for all USD home games. However, he will also be doing the play by play for SD State. With all the turnover and cuts at Midco Sports, we are fortunate to still have Jay doing the play by play for the Yotes, even if we do have to share him with the Bunnies. The schedules match up pretty much perfectly this season with October 12 (D-Days & Hobo Days) being the only Saturday both play at home.

Interesting that Hobo Day and Dakota Day are the same date this year. Usually law enforcement hasn’t like that.

Sharing a play-by-play guy feels tremendously bizarre. The Midco guys have always done a great job of appearing impartial, so it will work just fine from that standpoint, but still after all these years it will be so weird knowing that Jay Elsen is doing the full slate of games in Brookings.

I mostly feel bad for Jay. Having to spend Saturdays with those mouth breathers.

All jokes aside, losing Tom Nieman is brutal for Jacks fans and all midco viewers. Hate seeing what is happening at midco.
